Can I tow my FP 303 to the field on the main gear?

Redundant post. I didn't read thoroughly.

    Boxplane/boxwing basics

I have had this idea for quite a while now. I took what little I know (wing-tip-vortices, wing-tip losses-both top and bottom) and attempted to draw something that "looks" right. The idea behind the design is that what normally would be a loss from the top of the front wings is instead cycled...

A few of my design drawings...

So decide what kind of sexy you want. There's more than just the sports car sexy. If you want to appeal to a completely different crowd go with the dirt bike sexy. Stripped to the bare bones, the only things that are there is what is needed (and those few things come together to be a very sexy...

Tennessee Farm with Airstrip & Larger Hangar

Indeed, MRS. If I thought I could afford a loan for this I would bite, right now. But I'm occupied serving my country as well, and I would have no family to share the place with... I feel you, Jman. I sitting at the gateway to Afghanistan. I know your condition.

Cheap aircraft are simply impossible? :(

    Don't forget your duct tape....

Duct tape is called "100mph tape." It is rated at 80lbs test along its length. We generally shortcut that and call it 80lbs per wrap. We use this stuff on everything, even for sling-load missions.

From the far side of the World

I'm not from this part of the world, but I serve here. I am very interested in aerospace engineering especially as it relates to personal aircraft and in general spacecraft. Specifically I am rather taken by flying wings and blended wing bodies. Though, to fly in anything is a thrill...

    Design a Speed Demon

This thread is a direct result of a an ongoing brain child of mine and a quote made by Unknown Target saying the following: While I believe the above quote was made as a joke I believe it has some validity. One person, one bag (backpack sized), enough fuel for 2 hours of endurance, and enough...

New - maybe crazy, slightly insane.

So I was reading a thread in the Design section and someone mentioned that a motorcycle of airplanes might be needed to spice up general aviation... I believe the writer was "Unknown Target." It's mission parameters are simple. 1. Fast (125 knots) 2. Simple (minimal structure) 3. Cheap (less...
