    Oshkosh 2022

Leaving for OSH tomorrow night. Amtrak to MKE and then bus from there to the university in OSH. Since I'll be there early (Wednesday night arrival) I'd like to do some volunteering. Chris In Marshfield, you guys up at the UL field need anybody else? I'll be available throughout the show as well.

Parts For Sale Hummel Ultracruiser Plans s/n 859 & Assembly Manual for Sale

I purchased this plans set about 2 years ago, and the full-color assembly manual last year at Oshkosh. Sadly, I don't think I"m ever going to get to use them so I'd like them to go to someone who might. $150 including US shipping. That's less than half the price of a new set. Message me if...

Advice for new attendees/drivers to Osh

I've camped at Scholler for the last 4 years (besides last year of course). To add to what someone said above, if you do need to go to walmart for something and don't want to drive, you can take the bus from the bus depot in front of the show entrance to walmart and back. They run like every 45...

    Just Aircraft 103 Solo?

I don't think so. They (Top Rudder) is still taking kit reservations. Top Rudder's website: 103SOLO - Ultralight | Top Rudder Aircraft There is a payware model of the aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 though that is pretty fun to mess around in.

    Soviet X14 Ultralight

Oh Nice, J.J. Frusha. We bought a little bit of land on the edge of town as well recently, but sadly it is in city limits so a small grass strip is out of the question. It's probably too small anyways for anything bigger than a powered parachute.

    Soviet X14 Ultralight

It amuses me that someone replied to this decade-old thread. And yes, the irony of replying to a two month old comment in a 10 year old thread doesn't escape me. Reading my old posts is akin to time travel. And yet, 10 years later I STILL don't have an ultralight. I AM in a much better place...

Team Minimax plans now free to download

Hello all, I didn't see this posted up here yet so I thought my fellow aircraft builders would appreciate it (not that I'm building anything yet!). Plans for the various models of wood-constructed Ultralight, LSA, and Experimental aircraft from Team Minimax (such as the 1100R Mini-Max,Hi-Max...

    ICeU SPECTRES Kickstarter project

Whoops had to reread the page again: "The rotors not only tilt forward and aft 90 degrees for high speed horizontal flight, but they also have the ability to vector ten degrees in all directions during vertical flight."

    ICeU SPECTRES Kickstarter project

I think in his case he'd have to employ some advanced fly by wire techniques used in todays unstable (and therefore maneuverable) fighter aircraft. Quad-copters do it, so I would think the technology would be scalable. From reading his comments on the kickstarter page, I gathered the engines...

Anyone recognize this homebuilt twin-rotor helo?

Awww come on guys, haven't you ever had a dream? :lick: You have to hand it to the builder though, they tried- they just need some direction and aerodynamics/engineering lessons. Turn this into a learning experience- what do you think about using twin non coaxial rotors to cancel out torque...

Anyone recognize this homebuilt twin-rotor helo?

Someone posted this on a FB page I'm a member of and we are trying to find more info about it. All we have is this pic, though supposedly it was built by someone in Africa (go figure) and has been flown (I"m somewhat dubious on that last feat). The rotors are articulated and both are powered...
