    turbine cri cri daydream

The total redesign would be daunting. Aesthetics were what spawned this idea. mini corporate jet= awesome.

    turbine cri cri daydream

I am totally enthralled with the cri cri build by madrocketscientsist. I found a model turbine powered version and I wondered if you couldn't simply slide the engines farther aft, move the wing/main gear back to compensate for the CG shift. I made this model today to illustrate. (I haven't found...

My 130 pounder twin engine aerobatic speedster !

Ive been day dreaming about how this plane would perform. Seems like it would be a little quirkie but alot of fun. Any projections for roll rate or glide angle?

    Even genius has limits...

Theres enough energy in a thimble of gasoline to power a car for years. Its just really really hard to get to it. (fission and all that...)

    Even genius has limits...

Relativity received awesome recognition. Some time do a search for other Einstein expiraments and theories that didn't gain any notariety. Make sure you have the time though.... I burned four hours one saturday reading about his influence on standing spherical waves and his expirament that...

Hey guys, quick question here..... What would be recomended for the texas parasol angle aluminum? I think I'll choose the single 5/32 option but I'm not sure wich type of rivets to use.

twin engine wood and fabric ultralight

The Home Depot plane was called motor glider 101, built by a man named Jack Harper. The materials were "basically" purchased from Home Depot. The plane had only seven hours on it at the time of his interview so it certainly has yet to withstand the test of time.

103 enforcement (or rather, non 103 enforcement)

This is a stupid qustion maybe..... If your airplane loos like an ultralight, flys like an ultralight, etc.... Whats the difference if it weighs 350+ empty? I guess my real question is this: Where did the number 254 come from and why?

    still at it.......

radfordc, thanks for the info on the cuyuna. I have been debating on what type of exhaust to use.... I cant seem to track down the original for dimensions, performance, specs. Is there a quick (hopefully inexpensive) fix? Ps. Yes I will be using a recovery chute but haven't obtained one yet...

Radfordc, the reason for the overgrown tail surfaces is the incredibly slow target flight speed. The next time you are driving try putting your hand out the window @ around 40mph. It is surprisingly slow! I will need all that area to supply enough force on the tail to have crisp control response...

Yes the h. stabilizer area is very large as well as the v. stab area. At these speeds and with the large chord they have to be. The balance between weight, and effective area is crucial. The flying areas of the tail are very large and will have to be balanced. The elevator and rudder area will...

These numbers are not mine...... My projected design maneuvering speed is 35 knots and Vne is 47 knots. the tail moment arm is 12.5 feet.

    still at it.......

Very good advise..... from what I have read the engine has a history of over heating. it has been double gasketted (sp?) to lower the compression. I will also order a reverse fan kit to get the air moving in the right direction. New cylinders, rings, gaskets, and the whole nine yards before even...
