    Lets talk weight

Okay all you two stroke gurus, here is what I am faced with. Way back in the early 70's McColluch had an MC-101 two stroke that weighed about 15# and put out about12-15hp. Now 30+ years later shouldn't there be someone who makes an engine at about the same weight BUT with slightly more hp...

    Decimal or fractional

Okay just one more thing to clarify my opinion. If I need a board 8.75" I have to get the 8 from one tape then pull my metric tape out to get the .75 of the measurement? (yeah I know even I can figure the easy ones!) If I go strictly metric tape my plane is gonna be a whole lot different than...

    Decimal or fractional

Just one more comment. Sorry but those of you who grew up metric probably find them easy, me I didn't and I pulled out a metric tape and noticed that 2.68 inches just doesn't match 2-5/8" on my regular tape? so I constantly have to approximate the metric end of the equation. still find it...

    Decimal or fractional

I guess these points are all good but I am currently building my first U.L. and the plans are decimal. WHAT A PAIN !! I have a metric tape but not being tha familiar with metric I sure wis the wood layout was in fractions. just my opinion.
