Rotax 447 muffler how it works
I ran my 447 over the weekend and was impressed to see how quiet it is.. I wonder if anybody knows/understands the workings, and perhaps recipe for the rotax mufflers we see on nearly all 2 stroke rotaxes.. liquid cooled, fail-safe, thermostat
There are many reasons liquid cooled has advantages. efficiency, wear, cooling drag etc.. but one thing that has always bothered me is the fact that I have had thermostats fail closed in my car.. no big deal, just pull over. but is there a cooling circuit scheme that would fail safe in flight...- cptcliffhanger
