    6'7"

I would suggest a J-5 PA12 as it is the most roomy small plane you can find. I used to be 6-5 and 200 lbs, Now I am 6-4 and 300lbs. I built my Wagabond tandem sorta like a J-5 so I had a 39 inch wide cabin just for me. I have all kinds of room. One foot on each outboard pedal

    Wagabond With Pacer Drawing Changes

I roughed up the aluminum with a scotch bright pad and made a couple test glues. It might not be intuitive, but the wood failed before the aluminum/wood joint came apart. I have no fears on that end. I guess if it made you feel safer, you could put a little 1/4 inch strip of 1/16 plywood...

    Wagabond With Pacer Drawing Changes

The ribs are attached with a strip of .020 aluminum bent into a L and epoxy glued to the wood rib then screwed to the spar just like the aluminum ribs are. There is no great load on the joint and the ribs are rib stitched in place anyway. I started the engine build in 2008 before they had...

    Wagabond With Pacer Drawing Changes

The fuselage isn't built flat like a cub, Hard to describe, each station is built separately then they are placed in position on the floor jig. A little more involved than most projects, but not difficult once you understand the system. I used the birdcage (wing attach section) from a 52...

Re: What PSRU Can we Really Trust???

The SPG-3 and the SPG-4 have been used for quite a number of years and I have never heard of a failure. The fellow that sells them for north america lives up in French Canada. I can't think of his name at the moment. THey use a BMW rubber damper between the engine and PSRU also. Lots of...

electronic points for an aircraft magneto?

You are correct about the failure mode, I was thinking one mag with points and one mag with electroinc trigger. I have heard they give a longer duration spark and better fuel economy.

electronic points for an aircraft magneto?

Can someone who understands aircraft magnetos better than I do explain to me why the points in a standard aircraft magneto couldn't be replaced with something like a Crane XR-i or a pertronix trigger? I have bendix Scintilla S4LN 20 and 21 mags. Thank you

I'd sure what to check it out carefully, I read somewhere that display/ trade school engines were often put together with non airworthy parts or missing internals as they were for display only..

    Wagabond plans for sale

I found it on the wag aero site. He had mostly only done the wings but as it turns out, I don't think I will be able to use them after all. They will not accommodate the wing tanks and lift struts I already have, which is a shame as he bought all his hardware and brackets from wag aero...
