    Building a MiniMAX (Again)

I had the original VCR tape from back in the 90's, there was a lot of flying on that tape and I have to say, they were quite impressive. Bob

    Single-door cabin?

I'll make a note of that.

    Single-door cabin?

Ok, now we need a ballistic charge to remove the canopy.

    I agree, that rule sucks.

Basic Configuration for a "Safe" airplane

When this design first came out I was all excited, but then I began to doubt the strength of it. Just doesn't look strong enough to be practical. Perhaps using the design of the Legal Eagle, only with aluminum square tubing, of course smaller that the 2", would be practical. But what do I know...

    21st century Volksplane?

I have seen a VP I and a VP II for sale some time ago and they weren't too far from me, but from the pictures I could tell there was water damage from being stored for a long time. I would however consider one or a partial if it was in good shape.

    Three cylinder VW

Lol, I had that same book Pops, and just like you, I loaned it out and never saw it again. I agree, it was very informative.

    Parts For Sale For Sale

Selling this helmet for a friend, he has used it for flying in a T-6 and said he doesn't need it anymore. He says everything works as it's supposed to and the clear and dark visors are in good shape. He is asking $600.00. If you have questions, I'll pass them along. Thanks, Bob

    Chinese military gyros

I've always liked the idea of Gyros, I've never flown in one but it seems like fun. Bob

    21st century Volksplane?

I'm sure I've seen a low wing homebuilt somewhere that has folding wings. Pull a pin inside the cockpit, pull the wing out a few inches and rotate. But, I could be wrong, I was once before, a long time ago. Bob

    21st century Volksplane?

I was hoping you would say experimental, I like an airplane with a little more substance than an ultralight.

    21st century Volksplane?

Will this be an Ultralight or Experimental?

    21st century Volksplane?

If I couldn't fly more than 30 min., I wouldn't even bother. I have done a 2000 mile plus trip in my Cessna 150 and I would think a VP-I, or VP-II, or a VP-21 could do as much, only a little slower. A 30 min. flight is more in line with something that Peter Sripol would do. Bob

    21st century Volksplane?

I wouldn't trust the original Affordaplane, much less one made from wood. But that's just me. Bob
