Another 130hp turboprop for ultralight (running!)

"Ultralight" in Europe is what we would call "Light Sport" in the U.S. but they can use constant speed props, retract gear, and no speed limit

Another 130hp turboprop for ultralight (running!)

Interview From what I gather they are using a heat exchanger to pre-heat the inlet air using the exhaust and calling it a "rengenative" turbine system... "like used in boats and power plants on a larger scale" The sign behind them claims 80kg installed, 130hp, and 19lph in "eco cruise" ... but...

LOL, no those are German engineers.. I'm in sales. Want to buy one? Make you heck of a deal. Only used by grandma on sundays to lift her groceries out of the car... I'm 2nd generation in cranes, so I got sucked into the biz early. Seen and been around a lot of neat and ultra huge scale...

    Push/Pull twin Sport Plane

Yep, seats forward a couple of inches and the front engine. Zenith claims 200lbs can be put in the rear jump seat of the standard CH-750SD and the small 150-200hp Apex engines weigh about that much and would be positioned almost directly over that spot in the cabin. Pair of 200hp Apex engines...

    What could go wrong.

Take: One Jet fighter with throttles that lock open in afterburner Subtract canopy Disable ejection seat Install mechanic to do simulated full power takeoff runs down the runway Add fuel truck on the runway Season with a jet airliner taking off on crossing runway

    The Cercy sleave valve engine

Soon as I saw this part of the vid I was scratching my head on how in the world they got all those moving parts with different thermal expansion rates to work. Too bad there are no recordings of it running. Must of sounded like the world's most insane weed wacker at literally deafening levels.

    Mike Patey spar testing.

I have a feeling Mike intends to the sandbag the whole wing and this test was more about validating the extrusion construction method and solid work's predictions of said extrusion vs a traditional cap and web riveted together.
