    Can Anyone Identify this Biplane?

It has been a while since I posted to this thread so I thought I would provide an update. I finally located an original copy of the Sport Aviation magazine from 1960 which included an article about the plane. The article included a pretty cool cut-away drawing so I thought I would share it...

    Can Anyone Identify this Biplane?

Thank you for the offer. Any information related to this plane that has not been presented here would be helpful. I have searched until I am blue in the face but so far the 3 articles posted here along with the N-number history from aviationdb.net are all that I have found. Next week I will...

    Can Anyone Identify this Biplane?

Regarding the drawings and sketches, does anyone know if the EAA or Sport Aviation Magazine keeps any article related research in their archives. I would like to be able to get my hands on any additional information that might be available about the Biddy Buddy and would especially love to get...

    Can Anyone Identify this Biplane?

I don't know if the airframe would handle a Rotec but I think it would be amazing to put a radial back on it. And thank you for identifying the plane. You must have a great memory to be able to recall such an old article about such an obscure plane as this.

    Can Anyone Identify this Biplane?

Wow! That certainly does look and sound like my plane, even down to the description of the baggage compartment. I was hoping the great knowledge base here might be able to help identify the type of plane I have but I never expected to be able to identify the exact plane. Great job on the...

    Can Anyone Identify this Biplane?

Thanks for the N number and additional details. I couldn't find a photo but did find additional information. According to Flight Aware the Biddy Buddy appears to have been a 2 seater.

    Can Anyone Identify this Biplane?

I am not familiar with that plane and I haven't been able to find any photos or information on it. Do you have a link to photos or can you offer any additional details?

    Can Anyone Identify this Biplane?

Maybe the builder did blow up a set of RC plans. lol I need to take a tape measure to it but it may be smaller than it appears. The trailer it is sitting on is 14' long. The gear is similar to the J-3 Cub design but uses enclosed coil springs instead of bungee cords. It certainly looks like it...

    Can Anyone Identify this Biplane?

I am familiar with Bud Nosen designs for RC airplanes but did he design any full sized planes? This plane does closely resemble his radio controlled rendition of the Gere Sport.

    Can Anyone Identify this Biplane?

My plane does share characteristics with all of the planes mentioned thus far but, unless one of these designs was used as a starting point with a number of custom modifications completed, then I don't think it I have found it yet. Of all of the planes I have compared it to so far I would say...

    Can Anyone Identify this Biplane?

So far I haven't found any identifying information other than the engine data tag. This is purely a guess on the age but I think 1960's or 70's. The wing ribs, as with almost all of the other construction, are built up wood. Does anyone know where I might find plans for similar small, single...

    Can Anyone Identify this Biplane?

The interplane struts are "N" design. The wings and struts as a whole look like miniaturized PT-17 copies. I haven't taken a tape measure to the wings but the top wing is a single piece design roughly 19 feet in length.

    Can Anyone Identify this Biplane?

It does look similar to the Gere Sport but the Gere had a welded steel fuselage. The engine is a 65hp Lycoming.

    Can Anyone Identify this Biplane?

I am trying to identify the plane in the attached photos. It looks similar to a Smith Miniplane but the fuselage is constructed of wood. Can anyone identify the designer or manufacturer of this plane?

Sorry for reopening such an old thread but I was wondering if you might still have this engine? If so I might be interested in purchasing it. Regards, Michael
