Help me make a list of airplanes I’d like

At one time my email was filled with terabytes of Flitzer images in a moment of weakness I blitz them all to make space. We do have to live with regrets some really great Lynn commentary lost to the ether too! Seems like a very involved build with a great classic at the end!

I will add Rex Taylor's HAPI manual work is worth owning too availble from Viking Aircraft How to Order – Viking Aircraft . A modern book is Prescott Philips book. He is about 12 miles south of my home and willing to provide competent machining service to us aviators. I have not used him but...

Someone Needs Help Identifying Wooden Ultralight or LSA wings

If only we could see the bracing wood vs tubes or cables... My high level guess based on plywood ribs alone .. But the round ribs holes do not match up with the Steward Headwind

    Time Flown Behind A Conversion

Interesting Steve was a huge asset to us all I miss him. I pull 21" with my current cruise settings of 2950-3000 rpm. Heads hover around 225f with 90 OAT. My biggest issue with the Cygnet flying 1250lbs gross is oil is too cold. If it dips below 50 I have to block 50% of the cooler below...

    Green Sky adventures Zippy Sport

Ed told me otherwise or one of us remembers wrong but look closely the Tailwind wing is skinned in plywood this one is only sheet metal leading edge and used SKycoupe Cross braces to take up compression and torsion loads.... Just like the Zippy! See the skycoupe wing bones image below...Look...

    Green Sky adventures Zippy Sport

I agree having just seen the internals of the wing I agree with Ed Fisher it is essentially a single seat Stitts Skycoupe! Flattery of the highest honor. I would hate to see this design fade out!

    New rotorcraft concepts

Not new but I think I will build this 70% scale non jumping Cierva C30 clone I may employ a 4130 or Texas parasol Style fuselage TBD. If I can reach the rotor from the floor I will build classic wood rotors and hand pre-rotate to keep it lite! If not a Pre-rotor will be fitted. I also like...

    Belt drive

Chief Engineer E.P. Sliepkin Has been making belt drives for about 11 years in Ukraine only recently put up a decent web presence and has a small stock in a warehouse to ship from. Over the years he has migrated away from gates cogs to Micro V belts. Give him a look. Touch heavy for my...

I like the low profile intake on his cub... Looks like he cut the stock casing in two places and spiced with hoses with a custom plenum neat and tidy!

    Belt drive

Cool concept difficult understanding where the gauge is applied I assume it is not a torsion spring idler but a screw jack idler and he his monitoring compression in the screw? Memory serves he is using individual V belts... Edit I found it Tom is a Genius
