Who is at Oshkosh right now? What's it like?

I just got back to NJ from Osh. From my observation on Wednesday the camping lot was as full as I've ever seen it the three times I've been there. Last year, and the year Jack Rush crashed are the times I've been. They had airplanes parked and camped way down past the ultralight area, I don't...

    Cfi with ch601 variety time

I may be in need of a CFI around NJ who has some time in a Zenith Ch601 HD or XL, or ch650, ultimately if I have to I'll go to the guy in TN who does as a buisness. Just thought Id check to see if anyone was local.

Finding someone for a prebuy inspection

So I seen a pretty nice 2 seat ultralight. It's registered has a N number, no dam age history. If it were a regular airplane I would think it would be pretty easy to find an A+P. Being more of an ultralight I would think it would be harder. Even harder still it's in Vermont. I suppose I could...

So I going to look at a plane that the owner claims to be an LSA. It's a zenith 601hd with a Jabiru 3300. I googled images of airworthiness certificates, it looks to me the airworthiness should be a special and should say light sport. Am I wrong? And is there anything else that can make that...

Buying an Expiremental amateur built and I want to fly it as a lsa

Thanks for the replies. Just to be sure I'm understanding tototally. As long as it can be an EAB and flown as an LSA providing it wasn't registered gross weight above 1350 and it's operating limitations don't have speeds listed higher than LSA permits. So my best move before traveling across...

Buying an Expiremental amateur built and I want to fly it as a lsa

I'm interested in buying an already built Sonex. According to Sonex all of their models are built and registered as EAB expiremental amateur built and can be flow as a LSA without a medical. What do I need to be careful of as far as checking the air worthiness registration. And lastly Sonex...

I can't seem to figure out if it is LSA registerable. The Thatcher cx5 that is, I'm pretty sure the single seat cx4 is, but can't determine if the cx5 is or not.

Anyone know current pricing on the rotec radial r2800. Investigating using one for a series 7 kitfox. The folks at kitfox didn't know the pricing, directed me to rotec's page. Rotec requires an email to obtain pricing, which I did and have yet to receive a reply.
