    yeah.....slevair used some drawings posted on the da2a yahoo groups to make a folding wing... Its definately something I will also consider, as It makes the lengths of the 2024 extrusion much easier to obtain. Thanks for all the responses guys! -D

    what I guess I didnt state in the OP was that I would NOT just sub 6061 for 2024. But rather, resize by way of thickness to the approximate equivalent strength.. Or would a better method be to copy a spar design that is designed around 6061. Like the RV or Sonex methods (which both use 6061...

    yes it is a one piece wing, with tip-to-tip spar caps.
