    Quicksilver Sprint, Sport, 2s comparisons

I agree. I have several and have had several more. I actually joined because I assumed there would be more Quick owners here.

2 blade prop vs 4 blade on rotax

    Did he mention detonation?

2 blade prop vs 4 blade on rotax

At your specified time he's talking about inertia effecting acceleration. Engine seizures are not mentioned at this time.

    Roadable airplane landing gear

Shouldn't propulsion and braking be considered at the same time?

2 blade prop vs 4 blade on rotax

I want to apologies to jany77 and anyone else who wasted their time reading this nonsense. I'm hoping a mod will delete the off topic nonsense.

    Roadable airplane landing gear

I find this interesting. A Cub style landing gear except the mains are steerable.

2 blade prop vs 4 blade on rotax

I don't mind you not understanding the subject, but I do mind any confusion you may cause the thread starter. My touch on prop pitch and EGT's was correct. If you have correct information that differs then by all means post it. I'm not going to watch a 90 video just to prove you wrong.

2 blade prop vs 4 blade on rotax

Go back and watch the video you posted. Not one time does he mention two cycle seizures. The video you posted pertains to picking the correct prop for the rotax gear reduction box you own. And I might add it's a very good video.

2 blade prop vs 4 blade on rotax

I'm not going to argue with you Tony. I'm sure you would beat me with exsperiance however, inertia is an important factor to consider in relation to gear reduction methods. But he has already stated he contacted powerfin and they told him his choices. I'm sure they asked him application, engine...

2 blade prop vs 4 blade on rotax

I beg to differ, inertia has nothing to with two cycle seizures. I think what you're referring to is the effect of not having enough pitch in the prop and the engine "windmilling" during a decent raising the EGTs. Which is common when you have a "climb prop".

    Education Needed On Propellers

"Tractor" and "pusher" is one of my pet peeves on Barnstormers when people list their prop for sale. "Tractor" or "pusher" on what? Belt drive, gear box or none of the above? I wished people would just say right or left hand rotation and what it was designed for.

2 blade prop vs 4 blade on rotax

Rule of thumb is have as few blades being pushed thru the air as possible because of efficiency. The only reason to have more than two blades is because of physical restraints. IE: You have a 68 inch whole and need a 72 inch two blade prop. In your situation, I would give up the efficiency for...

I love Mikuni carbs compared to bing. Been replacing all our Bings with them. Been replacing our Ducati ignitions with Nippondenso too.

    Converting Taildraggers to Tri Gear

Converting a tail wheel plane to nose wheel is right along the same lines as cutting a VW car in half to make a store display out of it or a woman having a breast reduction. Hahaha
