Grainger's has a pretty good selection of industrial lighting, better then most the "Home" hardware stores.

    Stewart S-51 plans where?

I got rid of a bunch of magazines expecting them to end up in digital form....still waiting (especially Air Progress). Luckily I've saved all the Kitplanes I've bought, now organizing them, is another thing. Tom & Rico, e-mail's sent, let me know if there are any problems. Paul

    Stewart S-51 plans where?

Tom, I went to my storage, and dug out the Sept. 1995 Kitplanes, (S-51 on the cover) I've scanned 10 pages as jpg's, (at 10.8MB) If you'd like, PM me your e-mail, and I'll send them to you. Paul

    Building a twin mustang

Sure composites are great for dissipating energy, but I would have liked to have seen more cockpit structure around him at the end. Seeing how he was sitting on the wing when it was over. I would think Kevlar, would be part of the tub, as in race cars. Paul

    Formula One Air Racing

I've crewed for several Cassutts over the years, and at 6'1" and 250 lbs, didn't fit in any of them (knees wouldn't go under spar), until I got in (then Eric Mathesons #92). The rear carry through has a nice curve to it, and getting my but back a little made all the difference in getting my...

    Company Starts Making Flying Saucers

Saw the first video, don't want to wade through all the rest, are there ANY flights that are un-tethered. I would think that would be a significant milestone, if you want to sell the things.... Paul

    FW190 Replica Kits

I 'bumped' the other FW190 thread. Mentioned is Aussie Terry Kronk's original design, in Aluminium. There is a Jurca MJ-8 being built with an M-14 radial, that looks pretty cool, (on the Jurca web site). http://www.marcel-jurca.com/index.php?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=59 Paul

    Folding-wing biplane?

Ragwing makes a 2-place, tube/fabric/wood 'Pitts' replica (RW26), here's a website with info: www.ragwing.net/articles/RagWingMann_nov96.html I've had experience towing a friends Soneri around a lot, and I wouldn't recomend road travel, without a trailer, preferably enclosed. The poor thing...

    Puffin #73

James- Because of obvious limitations to prop length, with both the two and four blade props he used, Jim ran probably the highest rpm of any of the Formulas, around 5000 rpm. Always was scary to watch the hand-prop. Paul

    Puffin #73

The aircraft first raced in that configuration, (ducted fan), in 1973. In 1975 the ducted fan was eliminated, and the controls were made more conventional, (also adding a retractable nose wheel and painting the airplane red). Jim (Miller) raced the plane until 1985, when the plane was again...

    all metal birds

JD- The Spitfire at www.supermarineaircraft.com is pretty slick, also believe the Titan T-51 is still available www.titanaircraft.com. If those are over your budget, there have been some pretty slick 'replicas' done from the RV and Midget Mustang series. Economy would be a Loehle Aircraft...
