    Another S-51D Mustang

Man, I honestly think the Stewart S-51 is the greatest of all replica Mustangs. There's just something about it. There are no short-cuts, no slightly off "that [stabilizer/rudder/landing gear leg/etc] doesn't look right", it's made of all the right materials... If only there were more with V-12s.

Member welfare check - AKA face on a milk carton

Does anyone know what happened to Danielle? I was following her project Dakota Hawk as it seemed to be coming along quite quickly, but there haven't been any updates in years: https://www.homebuiltairplanes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13173

    Chris Falconar passed

I got an email today that Chris Falconar has passed at the age of 91 :( It sounds like his son and business partner are going to keep Falconar Avia limping along in the interim while they find a buyer.

Has anyone had an airworthiness certificate refused?

That also assumes the 40 hour flight test program is rigorously performed. How many stories have popped up about aircraft being completed two weeks prior to Airventure and flown all day every day until they can legally make the flight to Oshkosh? I mean, that was basically the reason this crash...

    Rutan Quickie / Q200, Q1, Q2

I dug around but couldn’t seem to find out how much the Onan 18hp engine weighs. Anyone know this offhand? Also, what is the fuel capacity of the Q1?

Isn’t the 447 an air cooled motor? Or was the water cooling provision for a different motor down the line?

Moldless Composites in the Modern Era

    Rutan Quickie / Q200, Q1, Q2

Ahh, yes, I see. There's a couple parts that could probably go up to the next density (firewall, instrument panel?, bulkheads). What do you think about the use of urethane foam for the fuselage? I've read some of the past opinions; would you substitute with PVC too? I guess it would be harder...

    Rutan Quickie / Q200, Q1, Q2

I found a parts list for the Quickie (here: http://jdfinley.com/file-downloads/quickie-aircraft-documents/) and looking over it I had some questions. One of the parts it mentions is PVC foam in 3.4lb/cuft ("gold/white"). On ACS I see only 3lb/cuft and 6 lb/cuft densities of Divinycell; are...

    Rutan Quickie / Q200, Q1, Q2

I imagine that the build time of the Q1 now would be a lot longer than historical without a source of all the odds and ends the factory would provide? Have there been any recent new-construction Quickies, like within the last 15 years or so?

    Rutan Quickie / Q200, Q1, Q2

How much does the Onan weigh? I think the SD-1 has a variety of engines in the 25-50hp range as options, be they 2-stroke (ie: Hirth F-33) or 4. I wonder how they would work on a Q1?

    Cri Cri @ Airventure 2018

I'm curious how they got it to Oshkosh. Does it fit in the overhead luggage bin or does it need to be checked? (I kid, I love the Cri-Cri)

    Part 103 Glider Tug designs

What about winch or auto towing? It seems like these could be quite economical. And with auto towing, you can use the same vehicle you brought the glider to the field with!

Plywood vs Stck Ribs and When Are They Intercangeable?

    PLANS: digital or paper?

I like having a digital copy on my computer / tablet / phone so that I can take a look at what's coming up when I have a free moment. Also, great to have as a backup in case the paper plans are damaged. The paper plans are great to have when actually doing things though.
