    Rotax 532 wiring diagram

I think I figured it out. it is mag "side" coil and pto "side" coil. I guess the prop would be the pto side and the starter side with the magneto and all the wiring is the mag side. Feel kinda dumb now :whistle: maybe its cuz I am talking to myself to much

    Rotax 532 wiring diagram

Can someone help me understand the difference between a "mag" coil and a "p.t.o." coil. There is a short on the blue/red wire on the back of one of the ignition coils. I am trying to see where or why it is shorting. Just a little lost on the terminology. I am a four stroke car guy this is...

    Rotax 532 wiring diagram

Hello all. I am working on a teratorn tierra 2 with a rotax 532. I am working on this for/with a friend who can no longer work on it himself. About a year ago he had the motor rebuilt and had new ignition coils put on. I just put in a new battery and turned the key. Nothing happened. I...

    wiring harness

I was hoping someone knew of a company that makes wiring harnesses based on your specs. Like "painless performance wiring" does for hotrods. They even have all the info actually printed on the wire.

    wiring harness

It is funny you bring up soldering, considering how my first thread here went. https://www.homebuiltairplanes.com/forums/general-experimental-aviation-questions/15937-new-winged-world.html#post179820

    wiring harness

Hello all. My friend has a TIERATORN TIERRA2 ultra light. I had made a post before about fixing some of the wiring. https://www.homebuiltairplanes.com/forums/general-experimental-aviation-questions/15937-new-winged-world.html#post179820 But after a few hours work I believe the harness...

Alright thanks everyone. I will have to take extra care to make sure the solder joint is secure and well supported. There are crimps on it now. The cheap kind done with flat crimps. They already have corrosion. So I have to do something to make it right.

How is it any more vibration than a racing quad? These guys take off and land 40x a day. The engines are shakers as well being a single cylinder 450cc.

Has anyone ever had a (quality) solder joint fail? I am trying to wrap my head around why solder has a bad reputation here. I have soldered on vehicles that take a much harder beating than an ultralight ever could. Failing solder just isn't heard of.

Also thr crimping tool isn't cheap. I have that shrink tubing with the glue in it lkke you mentioned. I have never in my life had a solder connection fail. Even on dirt bikes and quads that get jumped. Because of money issues I am goingto have to solder. I will just put an.extra long piece...

That is shocking. It is the exact opposite in the automotive world. We solder everything then heatshrink. Crimps always seem to fail eventually but never had solder fail. Where can i get these crimps? Thanks

Thank you. I always used a relay because I didn't like having heavy amps running under the dash. But I guess this little electric fuel pump isn't any where close to as powerful as say the fuel pump on my diesel truck. Thanks again.

Awesome, Thanks!!! This is exactly what I wanted to know. Yea I had a dirt bike and a banshee. But I think they were gravity fed. So my two stroke knowledge is sub par. I am not sure about water temp. There probably is one and I just forgot. (because the cluster is a huge mess and the...

Hello all. A friend of mine has a tierra 2 ultra light tail dragger 532 rotax. Twin carb, dual egt, electric fuel pump running parallel with a bulb type hand pump. (Is this for emergencies? Incase the electric pump goes in the air?). So the dash is totally torn apart wires all over the place...
