    Mandatory tool box

Homemade adel clamp assistant. Shorten a hacksaw blade to the length of about 3 inches, then put a V notch in one end. The thin notch will hold the screw for the adel clamp while you screw the nut on a few turn. Rest is easy.

    The "good" old days.

I have a first copy of Mitchell's book copyright 1921, "Our Air Force", if anyone is interested. Rare bird this book. 101 years old.

    Tech Counselor help needed

If I was in the area I would be glad to assist. Currently building an L-3 which required all new ribs and previously was a Stearman.

Spent the day at Duxford….not experimental, but worth the trip.

I flew a Tiger Moth there where we overflew the American Cemetery. Later went to Cambridge and happened upon graduation day. Overall a very historic and memorable trip. I would volunteer there in a minute if I didn't elsewhere.

Thumbs up on the Patrol. I don't know why more people aren't flying this airplane.

    "Probable Cause"

IMHO... If I tell you not to fly my plane and you do, and then you destroy it. You are responsible for the damage. This is regardless of the condition or design of the aircraft. Stay out of my plane! Don't touch my plane! Oh... and if I crash a plane I am certainly not going to let the world...

    Arduino-Based Instruments?

Quality is always suspect with China, look at the marketing plan from Harbor Freight. The low cost products don't last long and just to save a few bucks and support a totalitarian government is not a bargain in the long run.

Crashes in the News - Thread

The Santee crash is tragic. Pilot is dead as well as a UPS driver probably sitting in his truck thinking about his life.... tragic for both.

    New Sonex High Wing Design

I always thought the Cessna Skycatcher was a cool yoke/stick solution. Granted there may be some extra weight but the convenience is worth it.

    New Sonex High Wing Design

Ran's Outbound S-21 was back ordered two years when I checked. Hope Sonex uses something other than the Wittman gear.

    Museums

In San Diego, the U.S.S. Midway and the San Diego Air and Space Museum (Balboa Park and Gillespie Field Annex). Nearby in Ramona is the Classic Rotors Museum, where they did have a flying H-21.
