Not WB-57's. They had TF33's and a longer wingspan.

Florida Air Cab Bill will DELETE ULTRALIGHT from Florida Law. They become AIRCRAFT

As I read it, this is a proposed amendment to an existing law to add "To amend sections 4561.01 and 4561.11 of the Revised Code to incorporate seaplane bases, heliports, vertiports, and spaceports into the Aeronautics Law." So nothing changes from today regarding ultralights or a requirement for...

    Data plate mounting.

I used to check the data plate inside the entrance door frame on airliners I flew on when I boarded. Just wanted to see if they were in operation longer than I had been working. Newer ones today have it someplace else. Cheer

What was the first airplane you flew in and how old ?

12 yo. I flew on a TWA Lockheed Constellation from CVG to LOU as a birthday present. Back in those good old days, the Captain let me sit in the Pilot seat and actually touch the controls. Someplace in the junk in my house are the tin wings they gave me. Cheers

Lost Pilot Logbook....How to Deal with it.

First got my certificate in 1969. Probably flew 200-250 hours and then stopped for a number of reasons. When I started up again about 10 years ago, no logbook to be found. My new one starts with 60 hours, a typical number to get Private. No big deal since I never wanted or needed any...

Experimental (ELSA / E-AB) No Longer Allowed for Flight Training??

I might even have a certificate with my photo on it before then as well. Cheers

    LPA is history

Based on what I have read, nobody has the slightest clue what the rule making agenda is or isn’t except “make it simpler”. All the talking in the world just results in a lot of hot air. Until either the ASTM or FAA puts out a REAL proposal, zero progress will happen. This ain’t Rocket Science...

Experimental (ELSA / E-AB) No Longer Allowed for Flight Training??

The sky has not fallen IMNSHO. Previously an owner trained in his own airplane with any appropriate CFI. If he wanted transition training in an E/AB, it was nigh impossible to find a CFI with a similar aircraft and a LODA. He now will train in his own airplane with a piece of paper acquired...

They sent mine to the wrong address. IMNSHO, the company they used for the mailing isn’t the best so I’d call EAA and ask.

Folding Wings, Aircraft Trailers, and Portable Hangars for Inexpensive Storage

Just curious why a design stressed for +6, -3gs would be so susceptible to gusts on the ground with the wing down and locked. Cheers

The New Zenith CH 750 "Cruzer"

Nice looking airplane. I think I will add it to my wish list along with the 650B. OTOH, I really like the Loehle 5151. I know, two different missions but a man can dream. Cheers

    Are you a pilot and/or a homebuilder?

PPL and considering building. Was primarily interested in a CH 650B but the Loehle P-51 and P-40 kits have got me interested. Cheers

    UL Engine

I was at the Zenith Rudder workshop last week building a CH650 Rudder and took a Demo flight in their CH650 which has a UL350 engine, IIRC. Seemed very smooth. I was definitely intrigued by the Fuel Injection and FADEC approach to make my life simpler while flying. You might contact Zenith for...
