    Seabee and the Paradigm Plane

He's a salesman. All these great ideas (which have been done in the past) are his. However, He did put them all in one airplane. I guess it is his perspective. He must have thought the seabee tech was lost because he didn't know about it. I did enjoy the cut-a-way view of it.

Warbird Replicas that will Never Happen

Pbs india engines won’t work in the rest of the world. They use weight to power ratio where the rest of the world uses power to weight ratio ;p

Bill of Materials for my Fuel System Plumbing

Looking at the uav chutes put an idea in my head. Like having multiple motors, why not have multiple small chutes distributed around the aircraft?

    75% power?

For the same reasons I limit my zz4 engine to 4800 rpm. I haven’t upgraded it to an LS yet.

    Beachner V8 Special

I found a set of plans I got from someone in my EAA chapter. I took a quick look at them. If a more modern engine ( chevy or ford ) is light enough, I would consider building one, after my current projects are finished.

Cabin Heat, Water Cooled Engines - Which Way is Best and Why?

I have one of those. really crappy. You're better off with a ceramic core heater made for 120v ac and running it on 12v dc. Many people that built EV's in the 90's used them.

    Portable ADSB-Out...?

No such thing that is legal. FAA requires it to be installed and not portable. Ads-b is airplane specific, even though the code can be changed in the settings.

    Warbird Panel redo

agreed. not a combat aircraft. just used for training and hauling lower generals around. The interior wreaks of cigar and cigarette smoke. I researched what the old B55 barons sell for and how upgraded panels affect the price. Which is why a full garmin panel is not going to happen.

    Warbird Panel redo

I'm not buying it just to get the rating, I am getting the rating because I have it. It's a small investment and profitable even if I were to part it out. I have an A&P friend who knows these old barons and will help and guide me. He doesn't know the new avionics so keeping it original is...

    Warbird Panel redo

thank you for your advice. One can get carried away looking at all these toys. The original look is the least expensive. I was leaning that way. I will get some used stuff so it looks fairly original. I don't want a 58 yo autopilot. I have seen S-Tec and garmin a/p systems in B55 barons...

    Warbird Panel redo

but I could use the 275 instead of the G5 and have round guages.

    Warbird Panel redo

I've recently purchased a T42a project that needs a complete interior restoration, including the panel. Engine steam guages exist. all but the essential stuff was removed. It has the original army paint. I plan to sell it after getting my twin rating in it. Which would improve the 1...

    Waterproofing

car cover material is soft on the inside. I was thinking of using 1/2" EPP (packaging foam) sewn into the top surfaces to protect from hail, which is a problem in the spring and fall in Denver. If you can find it in a continuous sheet, it and the cover material will protect your gaps from...

Is there a 'complete unit' with nav/com/gps/adsb/xpnder?

I didn't read every page. But this happens to be the least expensive option I could find): Stratus ESG is a 1090 MHz extended squitter (ES) transponder with built-in WAAS GPS.

Ransomware gang extorts jet maker Bombardier

you don't have to lose anything but the $ it takes to pay employees to restore data to a sandbox, check for the virus, do a diff on the data and save or print off the differences. Go back another day/week, check again and so on until the virus is not found, then put the data differences in the...

    Ebay Today

yeah, all the cars in the parking lot were totalled. I rode my bicycle to work that day. had 3-4" of hail to ride through on the way home. Miraculously, The worst of it ended 100 yards before I got to my house. I had very little damage.
