    Multimeter recommendation?

As long as you don't intend to measure mid- to high frequency signals, any multimeter will do. Personally I use a Fluke-77, but only so because longer ago than I care to remember, I got it as a gift.

    Riblett airfoil - favor

:) I guess I should have asked whether these sections are indeed good ones. The impression I got from multiple sources is that these are re-hashes of NACA sections and none of these sources is very definitive about whether Riblett's versions are indeed an improvement on the ones found in...

    The QNE Microlight project

Duncan, if you really go ahead with this engine, you might be interested to learn that the valve covers were engineered to take the load when the bike tips over on its side. For aviation purposes there's quite a bit of excess mass there that could be removed.... cheers Hans

How to calculate induced angle of attack for tapered and swept-back planform?

Hi Group, still interested in tailless aircraft, I'm now looking into induced angle of attack. How do I calculate these angles across the span for a planform that has both taper and sweep? The simple stuff that I've seen so far seems to be valid for rectangular straight planforms only...

    Facet Opel

a wider landing gear would have been much more difficult to make retractible. If you look at the available pictures earlier in this thread you might even discern a fairing bulb on the fuselage when the gear is retracted, indicating that the main gear could only be retracted into the fuselage...
