    Updraft Vs downdraft carb style on a flywheel hand pop type 1835 and twin ignition

    Carb location : From reviewing GP catalog it seems that the updraft installation is most common. Intuitively- when hand pop the engine- the down draft can supply mixture better due to gravity . The Flywheel type on front and the lack of starter leaves plenty of room for downdraft manifold...

    Rib stiching a slow aircraft

    Clutton Fred is design to fly without rib stiching since its VNE is well below 100. Should I use rib stiching anyway? The ribs are only 1/4" thick- enough to hold the fabric without stiching? Thanks all.

    Aluminum Vs.brass fuel tank

    I'm getting close to the fuel tank costruction- a 6 to 8 gallon tank. Looks like welding aluminum (5052- H32) requires an expert Argon equipment, and brass can be brazed /silver solder using oxy/acy. I'm lookig for a reference or discussion on this issue to help me decide where to go. Thanks...
