    Does anyone have first hand experience on installing a 912 in a Sonerai. I have a friend who built a SIIL which he sold and is now looking at building a stretch with a 912.

    Jabiru 2200 mount

    Tha barrells are cast barrells with alloy fins. I purchased them from a place called rg engines. Not sure if they are still in business. The weight savings were around 12 lbs from memory. The complete engine minus, exhaust, carb and starter was 160 lbs on a set of bathroom scales.

    Phenolic versus Aluminum Pillow Blocks

    I cut my nylon blocks in half horizontally, put a washer on either side and bolted it all together. I experimented with different size washers until it felt just right.

    Has anyone considered reducing the size of the ailerons on their Sonerai? I have a friend who has just cut his CX-4 ailerons in half as he said that they were too sensitive.
