Cadkey Gentlemen, I work with Cadkey 99 everyday. Is there anything I can do to help? Just to let you know Cadkey doesn't handle IGES files very well. You are better off using a SAT or STEP file. These are the solid model information files.

    epoxys

epoxies Just to let everyone know, I heard from Steve Winder of Airdale, LLC where I bought the kit and he explained to me that the 3 to 2 ratio was for a 3M product that isn't used any more. Also a primer isn't needed as long as the epoxy is applied within a half hour after cleaning the area...

    epoxys

Hey everbody Supplied with my Avid Plus is Loctite 9460 epoxy for the assembly of the wings. The construction manual says to mix it 3 to 2 and use Dow Corning Primer coat on all the aluminum for best adhesion. Well at $20 a pint I wanted to make sure it was needed. I called Loctite and come...

    the trailer

white grass Yes, yes the grass is very old. I can't wait for all those young little blades to bud forward and make the ground green again. Warmer weather, get more done on my avid. Then I'll design a rig to haul the plane with using some of this trailer.

Well folks, I know I've been away for a while, but today is a very important day you see. My Avid Plus arrived home today:ban: and I'm just tickled to no end  . And while I started to unpack a few things, my neighbor came over for a look see and by the time he left I had a trailer from...

    Kitfox is bankrupt

Rhino, Check out Airdale. Their Airdale Flyer is, in my opinion, a better aircraft than the series 7. http://www.avidair.com/ Talk with Steve Winder. He's very helpful, freindly as hell, and Airdale is in a lot better shape than Skystar was.

    Kitfox is bankrupt

I was just reading on the Yahoo Avid_flyer site that Skystar, the maker of the Kitfox has filed chapter 7. Now I know why they wouldn't sell me an airplane. Glad I didn't get mixed up in all that.

    Taildragger groudloop technique

Orion, Thanks for that great insite into taildragger flying. As I've always been a nosewheel driver, not pilot, I look forward to the days when I too can start practicing this fine maneuver.

Well now I've gone and done it

Everybody, I ordered my airplane. :ban: I bought an Airdale LSP (fatavid). What is a fatavid? It is a Avid MK IV with lots of refinements. First, it's 14" longer and 5" wider. It uses the Avid wings and tail feathers. The nice thing about the purchase is that Steve Winder of Airdale knocked...
