    what are the inherent problems with a points ignition system? i own both but am currently flying the cdi setup. i noticed the points setup has a hotter spark than the cdi and is easier to time. i am thinking of switching to the engine with points. anyone flying this setup? Thanks

    What 2-stroke oil is working the best with blended pump gas that most stations have now? I have been useing Pennzoil air cooled oil and have had great results so far but read that it does not mix as well with blended fuel as synthetic. Monte

    My EGT probe on my Rotax 277 went south yesterday so i replaced it with a new one. now my egt is reading close to the 1200 deg during decent without changing anything on the engine. can egt probes be trusted and are some brands better than others? my reading with the old one was 1120 deg.

    Rotax A box oil loss

    I am running a Rotax 277 w/ "a" gearbox and am loosing oil while in flight. I have relocated the vent line behind the cowl but did not help much. I have also replaced the crankcase seals thinking crankcase pressure might be the problem. Does anyone have any suddestions? Thanks, Monte

    newby s-17 project

    i will be picking up my Rans S-17 Stinger kit on july 11. there is another S-17 at the local airpark to help in the construction. in the near future i will get my sport pilot ticket to make me legal. i will keep everyone posted as i complete it. any advise from the forum is surely welcome. monte
