    Tail hight

My turtle deck was raised 2-3 inches hard to remember, I flew it like that for 100 hours, it always required rudder input even in straight and level flight. After looking at RV's I decided to increase the fin size and added some rudder chord. All in all I raised the fin 6.5 inches. What a...

New guy wonders what they fly like?

Carrier type approach @ 85 to 90 over the numbers @70 and float on down to touch down. Piece of cake! I only had 120 hours of C-150 time and about 15 dual tailwheel in a cub. The Sonerai was my first tailwheel solo and the first flight in my Sonerai. NEVER get slow in a turn!

    Pilot weight

I was 6 feet and 220 lbs, Raised the turtle deck 4 inches and the fin & rudder 6.5 inches. Worked wonderfully. You want to cut tubing to get out quickly you better have a battery powered Dewalt grinder with you!

Instruments and flying with a passenger?

I test flew my Sonerai 2 in 2015, I had about 15 hours of dual in a J3, no solo time. My first Sonerai flight was also my first solo and test flight. I did some speed taxing on the grass runway never lifted the tail but could feel it getting light then I would back it off slowly. I practiced...

    Canopies

Gaston was not a tall man, but as I look at that picture I am reminded of the day I flew front seat with Gaston, well I flew in the front, no seat and no seat back, no shoes. I am 6 feet tall. I highly motivated to get some stick time while I was building mine.
