    Sonerai II For Sale

Re: Sonerai II For Sale A 1 is almost impossible to find. The engine is a Great Plains 2180CC with the force 1 hub. I have to check my log book but it is around 1053 engine/airframe hours, it goes up every week since I fly it often. Top end was rebuilt at 800 hours, and she has plenty of power...

    Initial Questions

Your heigh concerns me. You NEED to get a low wing sonerai AND a raised turtle deck to feel anyway comfortable. I am 5'7" and with my mid wing regular turtle deck sonerai my headset band bumps the canopy, also its hard to move your legs when the main spar is right over your knees.

    Wing to fuse gap

It has never been replaced, once you touch it it falls apart and it looks really nasty. It is not just in that one location there are other spots around the wing.

    Dirty Oil

Did you get a chance to tear it open?

    Wing to fuse gap

I attached a picture of the material that the original builder used to fill the gap between the fuse and wing, It is riveted in place. Not being the original builder and having zero experience working with metals/rivets how would I go about to replace it? I was wonder if I should drill out the...

    Jack Points?

Got a chance to stop by the airport to take a couple pictures. Not the best but you get the idea. I think the plane looks awesome if it would have retractable gear. Also what is that center bolt used for on the landing gear to fuesalage for? You can see it in the picture.

    Cowl Progress (or lack thereof)

Looking good Jeff. I read the whole how to on the wasabi airplane on instructables.com when he redid his cowl. Its alot of work, I wish that I knew some people around here to teach me how to do it.

    Cowl Progress (or lack thereof)

It must really discouraging when you find out that you have to rip it all apart after all the work put into. What aircraft are you working on in that picture?

    "Cool Glasses" Test Subject

I have sheet metal cooling plenums around my heads and I see 250 degrees max, they do get down to 200 when I am crusing around. Can the glasses be used with a cooling plenum? Im planning on upping the HP with a new build so I may be needing them in the future, not anytime soon tho.

    Jack Points?

Well I just removed the main gear and wheels from my Sonerai II this past weekend. 1. LIft the tail and make it horizotal so the aircraft doesnt want to push back when you start jacking it up. 2. Jack the plane under the main landing gear until the wheels are a couple inches off the ground 3...

What kind of brakes do I have?

Cant seem to find anything on the type of brakes that I have. I almost think they are Tracey O'Brien brakes but mine look little different. Ive attached a couple pictures. They are hydraulic brakes and when I pull on the lever the brake pad pushes out and rubs on the metal disc that is bolted...
