I lightened my plane by 20-50 pounds

I went on a diet on July 12! So far I've lost 23 pounds and I plan to lose a total of 50. No magic weight loss pill. I reduced myself to 1500 calories a day which I track with a phone app called Fooducate. My diet could loosely be described as Paleo.

3 TPI Band Saw Blades for Re-Sawing.

Anybody know a local box chain that sells 3TPI blades? I've shopped the interweb and the shipping is as much as the blade. Could a person buy a 6 TPI blade and grind off every other tooth? My latest band saw adventure: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=123wzrkIn6E

    Drone to Tow Sailplane

So I was happily reading Boku's thread: https://www.homebuiltairplanes.com/forums/soaring/25450-second-hp-24-first-flight.html And I had this really nutty idea. What if you could make a big drone that had sufficient power to tow a glider up to altitude and then automatically return to base to...

    Crowdfunding the Epic

Hi guys I am trying my hand at crowdfunding to see if I can raise money for my plane and lessons. People crowdfund all kinds of things nowadays and it occurred me that accomplishing my lifelong dream of building and flying a plane was probably as valid as any of them. I plan to make...

    Stealth Air Superiority

The US no longer seems to have a monopoly in the stealth fighter business. The news has been filled lately with stories of the Chinese developing a fighter that has stealthy qualities and so has Russia. I guess I never expected us to be the only ones to use stealth tech to win battles. I...

    Privatizing Space Flight

I requested a new thread and then decided that it might be best if I just go ahead and start it. Let's begin here: I for one love free enterprise and find the notion that a private company or citizen can build a space flight company and explore space to be invigorating. I think that...
