    Are you a pilot and/or a homebuilder?

My first taildragger that I purchased came from a man whom loved to build. He was an engineer for Boeing. It was his 7th plane he buult. He sold each one for materials and that was it. I missed the 5151, I was a few days late on that one. I asked him why only materials, he said because he...

    Are you a pilot and/or a homebuilder?

At this time in my life not able to build so I look to those whom build and sell. I have found a few whom build for the love of building. They did not jack the price up but sold them for what they had in them.

    Flying Clubs

I am thinking of starting one of these clubs. Not so much for me but for other pilots. I would be there to help run things and let others fly. I just have not decided if i want to do it. Leaning that way though. I am looking at a 172 for this club. Tony

Texas Pilot - First Plane, But Which One??

What about joining a club? From my research this is not a bad option. There might be a CFI that is a member whom can keep you current ect.... I have been thinking about starting one of these clubs myself. By a 172 or something and share all cost with the other memebers in a club setting...

Do you think most accidents/incidents happen mainly by pilot error?

Dana one more thing speaking of the collapse. I was landing the other day and had the great fortune to experiance this. I was about 100 feet off the ground coming in to land and it was like someone pulled the air from under my wings. I just sank. At about 20 feet from the ground I pulled back, a...

Do you think most accidents/incidents happen mainly by pilot error?

Dana- I like your answer here, not that I do not like the others, a bunch of good minds here for sure. I was going to pose this question. At what hour or logged time is a pilot at most risk. I was thinking of this the other day. You covered it here. After logging or flying close to 200...

    503 Rotax

You know what shocks me is this. You can take an engine out of a snowmobile or something like that, rebuild it and put it back in the snowmobile and it will run great. I took a snowmobile that was outside for years almost buried, and I had it running in 3 days and it ran great. Then you can...

    503 Rotax

Do a search for a man by the name of Rotax Rick. Send him this engine. He will make sure you have an engine that will not quit. Check out this Rotax he built for me. On this video the pilot is only running that 503 at around 5500 rpm on climbout and look how he is climbing out. Hi-Max with...

    503 Rotax

You left out a lot of info to give you a good answer. If the engine was fogged, carbs drained then sealed before storage, you will not have to do a lot. But on the other hand if the engine was just shut down and walked away from like most are, I myself would not trust that engine with my life...

    rotax rick

No website. Call him he is a good man and will do you right. If you can not afford New from Rotax buy from Rick, he is as close to new as you will find and he stands behind his engines. Tony

    Sport Pilot Club

This could be setup where any profit money goes back into either the EAA, FAA, AOPA, something. Help fund the GA training program. Everyone is saying how GA training is hurting. Put this money right back into that. Run it as a Non-Profit, spread the love as they say...lol Keep the feedback...

    Sport Pilot Club

Just maybe the GA schools would like this type of program. It would keep the lower end of Sport pilot out of thier schools and we can teach these pilots who fly these slower airplanes. These GA schools will not be hearing from Mini-max owners, or Quicksilver owners. I bet they hate to hear from...

    Sport Pilot Club

This is a really good dicussion guys, I thought about this, tell me if I am getting close here: Sport Pilot to some means a two seat commuter that moves at a descent speed "above 100" has a 912 under the hood, and the pilot flying this bird will someday go on to be a private pilot. Now in my...
