as i am facing time constraints as well as money because of 3 other major projects i think i may run with something like this ( link below ). a fabric door. i talked to the company and they can make me one for ~ $600. or i can make one myself from heavy tarp. the father of my son's...

    hanger door construction

i think if i can research and carefully construct a plane together that is going to take me a few thousand feet off the ground and deliver me back safely....i ought to be able to research and build a door that will operate satisfactory and safely. if i cant do the latter i have absolutely no...

i saw this before and bookmarked it. i havent yet emailed them to get more info. i saw the "kit" for a 10' x 40' was 835...but over to the right of that in the green it says the completed door would cost ~2700 - $3500. i was seeing if i could do it for way less....dont know if it is possible...

    hanger door construction

i was looking into that style but i would be in the middle of a row of hangars and there is no room separating them. i wish that werent the case it would be a lot easier with construction like yours.

    hanger door construction

i think if i used steel studs and watched myself i could get this thing to lift with a 2000lb winch without the use of counterweights or a very small ones.

    hanger door construction

thanks for the ideas and sites guys. i wonder why joe fisher opted to have his doors fold inward? most of the doors i have seen in that style fold outward as they come up. i have been pondering this for awhile and have seen sites where they wrap around on a track.....use hinges and rollers...

    hanger door construction

I have a chance to get a hangar at a decent price. The only rub is it isn't completely enclosed. They are all open in the front but the renters are allowed to hang doors if they want. I would prefer that but dont want to shell out big bucks. Have any of you made your own doors??? If so what...

    auxiliary fuel pump..

i had an autoparts store for years and sold a lot of both pumps. as for fuel pump diaphrams rupturing and bleeding gas into the crankcase..i had that happen equally as much with ford, gm, chry, etc. pumps as well. so i am not too concerned about that. the pump will be replaced on a schedule (...

    auxiliary fuel pump..

i have a GP 1835cc vw and am wanting to put an auxiliary fuel pump ( facet electric ) on it. the engine uses the standard vw pump. is there any problem putting the electeic pump in series? if i put it in parallel would I have to use a check valve to keep the gas from flowing in a circle?
