    "Hiding" the propeller

What about a tear drop shaped PW5 style fuselage mid ships multi blade ducted fan with movable naca ducts ( movable panel of duct hinged on forward end of duct) ducts on left, right and top side for air inlet to fan. And two aft hinged panels allowing fan thrust to exit. Use hybrid ICE Bat...

When to Use Clevis Bolt instead of a Clevis Pin?

My pet peeve is mechanics not tightening bolts adequately to make the bushing or bearings do the work. The bolt spins and wear the fixed structure holes.

    How do Manufacturers Prep Aluminum?

Boeing specs had anodize with and without Dichromate seal. Dichromate seal improved corrosion resistance but if mineral solids are a bit high or if sealed too long primer paint adhesion was an issue especially with the water borne epoxy primer.

    Rivet replacement

These are either cherrylok or cherry max rivets. If the head diameter is about 1/4” its a 1/8 rivet. use a sharp number 40 drill bit to drill out the locking ring. Center punching the powder metal filled stem may help but an experienced mechanic does not need to. Used plenty of pressure and slow...
