    35hp Briggs and Stratton conversion

Seeing those engines and PSRUs lined up on a bench made me feel quite proud of what they accomplished. Having grown up in Argentina and having lived there for 8 years in the recent past, I know the difficulty and expense that represents given the economy and lack of available materials and...

Interest in EAA Chapter / Youth / Non-Profit Airplane Build Program

If you are an EAA Member you can watch the same seminar I watched last night. Excellent info, well presented by an attorney that is focused on the whole subject of non profits. This along with other webinars by the same person would be a good addition to the instruction manual. You can...

    Selling 3-bladed carbon fiber propeller

That's not bad considering the situation. I would be interested in hearing your review after you have it flying. It certainly looks nice.

    Selling 3-bladed carbon fiber propeller

I live in Las Vegas Nevada where it is quite hot with high density altitudes in the summer and we are also surrounded by mountains so, while speed is nice, climb is important.

    GM 1.6l Turbo Diesel (LH7)

Not a Corvair but an inline 4 cyl Turbo Diesel. I would be interested to find out about anything aeronautical done with this particular Diesel engine. No need to re invent the wheel.

    GM 1.6l Turbo Diesel (LH7)

I was envisioning this engine in a pusher configuration. with an aluminum plate bolted to the block / flywheel housing. a BMW or like driveshaft damper between the crankshaft flange and the bearing assembly / prop flange capable of handling all the loads mentioned above. This assembly would be...

    GM 1.6l Turbo Diesel (LH7)

I want to be able to use a production automotive engine with 100+ hp at 2700 rpm. I'm a proponent of keeping things as stock as possible. In my research I run across the LH7 GM turbo diesel and after looking at the hp/torque/rpm (dyno) chart, I wondered if this could be used to driving a prop...

    GM LE2 engine conversion

Thank you for the help. Good info on prop suggestions. The more I think about driving the prop in line with the crankshaft, the more I realize that it would create a ground clearance problem. I'll attempt to start my first thread ever.

    GM LE2 engine conversion

Great Forum! I've learned a great deal from reading through this thread. I too want to be able to use a production automotive engine with these capabilities. I'm a proponent of keeping things as stock as possible and had run across the LH7 turbo diesel and after looking at the hp/torque/rpm...
