    UFO 'Whistleblowers' Speak Out

https://www.youtube.com/@merged_podcast/videos And this new crop of UFO discussions largely (or totally) ignores the millions of abductee testimonies, where there appears to be some real hard evidence in the form of strange implantations in bodies found in Xrays, missing pregnancies, strange...

Can we have long tail arm on pushers

I have no experience with central pushers with long aluminum booms. I'm sure there are very few people who have done any sort of practical experimentation on this... and the amount of tail buffet will be unique to each design. There are a lot of variables that play into tail buffet as far as I...

    Lack of twin engine E/ABs

600hp NA is not that big a deal in the LS world. A mild LS3 build will get you 650. You can buy 800+ hp motors off the shelf from Lingenfelter etc. If you were serious about trying to go fast/win races and set records, ~1000 hp NA is what a LS will take for a short time. Derating in a...

Any thoughts on my AC-5M project?

-I was wondering about airworthiness, then remembered that AC-5s are experimental category.

    Hand-thrown Airframe Parachute

Except it would be attached to the airframe and not the pilot obviously.

The rise of FrankenEngine - An engine for the VP-21

Which site? There are two. And If some random engine owner is an a-hole, is that a good reason to not look at or use that engine?

The rise of FrankenEngine - An engine for the VP-21

Just dropping these here. They don't really meet the requirements (at all) of ~40 hp and ~80 lb, or air-cooled. But it seems weird to not talk about them. http://www.fairpoint.net/~res12/html/one_rotor_wankel.html...

how is double ender going now?

It's a bushplane. I cringe watching all the videos of people flying these things low down in un-landable canyons, over freezing arctic water by glaciers etc. I know I would definitely prefer having 2 engines if I were going to try to enjoy some "low and slow".

Getting Out From Under the Wing?

this is a fun read about a man trying to solve a torsional resonance problem in the BD-5 design. http://ibis.experimentals.de/downloads/torsionalvibration.pdf I don't have any personal, or inside info about the Stemme system. I only know what I've found out about it online. Blade flapping may...

Getting Out From Under the Wing?

Very nice indeed. Though that one is technically a S10 which can be had for the mid $100k range. That all said, the configuration is the important part- not the 75 foot carbon wings and fancy folding prop. Picture a Highlander-STOL rag and tube type airplane with a mid-mounted engine, prop on...

Getting Out From Under the Wing?

Not that driveshafts in aircraft are easy to do.... But balancing the occupants with a mid-mounted engine works well.

What do you think about "e-soaring"?

https://www.facebook.com/520066472/videos/908673163366205/ Here's another interesting new development. The Swift 3, now with more span, AR, thinner airfoil... I wonder how much it will cost, and when deliveries will begin. This is very exciting.
