Parts For Sale Lightweight metal PA-18 Cub Plans

Thanks for that, Tsantoy1, I'm sure that there are others here that will find that helpful and should also serve as a warning to anyone thinking of doing any business with him in the future. In the meantime, I am still looking for workable plans for a supercub or clone of any kind, so to anyone...

Parts For Sale Lightweight metal PA-18 Cub Plans

Richard, what you sent me was not what you advertised on the forum and not what you described as what you had. It is NOT a set of plans, but is 30 pages of assembly instructions for a KIT, which would already have had all the parts included, so drawings would be largely unnecessary, so there...

Parts For Sale Lightweight metal PA-18 Cub Plans

I promised to send you the cost of re-posting after I receive the parcel, the second half of which arrived today - you could have told me that you had split the shipment, though! Sorry about the misunderstanding :)

Hi all, has anyone had any experience with the Tundra lite lockable tailwheels? I’m looking for something for a Supercub…

Video series on TIG welding thin wall aircraft tubing

And I wasn’t advocating needing a lathe at all (though admittedly a useful tool, whatever size). I was just mentioning another way of doing it. Using an angle grinder works just as well if you take care :) The main thing is getting there, not necessarily the ‘how’ - that is largely dictated by...

Video series on TIG welding thin wall aircraft tubing

I forgot to mention that each ‘section’ was put together against a jig and the tubes tacked before removing and being welded proper… that way, as you weld and check against the jig, any twisting can be immediately noticed and corrected before ‘moving on’ to the next bit.

Video series on TIG welding thin wall aircraft tubing

The reason I mentioned the lathe was that is the way we built ‘birdcage’ chassis for a racers back in the 70s, when I started welding. Each tube was first cut to angle at one end and then with milling cutter the size of the adjoining tube in the chuck, we modified the tool-holder to take the...

Hey Little Scrapper, what are your thoughts on ‘normalising’ or de-stressing welds and tubes? How do you ‘mitre’ your tubes when building? Using a lathe? Peter

Parts For Sale Lightweight metal PA-18 Cub Plans

Hi Richard, I just spoke to the post office in Brewton who have been open all the time, there have been no closures in the area due to flooding, so please enough of the fairy stories and send me the plans that I paid more than $300 for more than a month ago. I am tired of this and you are in the...

Parts For Sale Lightweight metal PA-18 Cub Plans

Hi Richard. Hope you are well. With the time-difference between us, it is not always possible to reply quickly as despite being a pensioner, I still have to work to stay alive - and a welding-shop is not the quietest of environments :) Hope that you got my messages, anyway.

Parts For Sale Lightweight metal PA-18 Cub Plans

Ihaa at be never heard of international post being returned to the sender… most unusual! The postal service in the sending country has no means of checking the address before it is sent to the receiving country and don’t care, either, whether it is right or wrong. On the receiving country, the...
