    Horrible news from Vans Aircraft

I think that if I had assembled a bunch of parts that are showing cracks and I have an engine deposit through Vans and don’t know where that money is now, I would be a little bit more than disheartened

    Belt drive

Just read about the 1/3 scale B29. Using Honda engines with belt driven reduction. Sounds like a pretty simple solution. Better then a gearbox?

    Manifold pressure

2400 cruise is about 70% throttle It will pull 2650 wot in level flt 2250 wot on takeoff @700’ elevation

    Engine ideas

I’ve seen a number of snowmobile to airplane engines, but has anyone tried a PWC engine? Newer ones are all 4 strokes and make up to 300 hp. They also have closed loop cooling systems

    Aeromomentum RV-12

I can’t seem to find any reports on Aeromomentum fwf from actual end users. It sounds like a great option, but would like to have a report from someone who has flown behind one.

    O-200 performance

Dan, the intake fitting is 1 3/4”. That illustration is a bit deceptive. There are actually 2 of the smaller hoses(15) on each end of the pipe. I’m not necessarily looking for increased performance, my concern is that it could decrease performance. Just wondering if anyone has tried it. Thanks

    O-200 performance

the O-200 in my Christavia has 1 1/2” intake pipes and a small hose inside a larger hose that connects the pipe to the intake spider and the cylinder. my question is, what would happen if I replaced the 1 1/2” pipe with an 1 3/4” ? then I could do away with the small hose completely and get rid...

    Comfortlite seat

The seat itself weighs 5.9 lbs I didn’t weigh the old seat bottom and back but I think I gained maybe a pound or so. The picture shows the seat in the fully back position. Normal flying location is about 6” more forward. So the horn you mentioned, actually that is where the rear stick goes, is...
