Has anyone built a Gyrobee lately?

the second reason is that it is useless to be able to take off without runway and to need a runway (even a small one) to land . I think that a really powerfull electric prerotator that could remain active until the front wheel of the gyro lifts would cut the take off distance by 2 .

Just a gyro sketch - not even serious

I would add that not all gyros are similars .. you have to buy our build a modern gyroplane especially when it comes to monoseaters. OK you can find dozens of old cheap widow makers gyros ... but we don't fly to die, we fly to fly again the next week end .. when it comes to monoseaters, prefer...

What's a good gyro for an HKS 700E (60HP) engine?

I love the sonex planes, I am not a guy of FW, and I am too old and certainly to lazy to learn to fly a FW but I love those kind of Aluminium construction, I did my tall tail using the old method, what a pleasure ... but it let me realise how long it must be to make an entire plane in aluminum...

What's a good gyro for an HKS 700E (60HP) engine?

in gyro we need power this is true, for a monoseater 65 cv are really a minimum to get some descent margins, on a tandem 100 hp seems to me a real minimum . but on the other hand it is important not to put a too torquy engine in the hand of beginners ...eespicially when it comes to flying...

What's a good gyro for an HKS 700E (60HP) engine?

I am happy not to have had to work on engines issues when I re-built my monoseater and when I built my tandem .. I had so manythings to design/machine/mount that using a rotaxes engines left me enough time to built the rest of the gyros I am happy I have completed those built ...

Just a gyro sketch - not even serious

Hi Robert, I am a gyro amateur builder owner gyro pilot, in my club most of the giro pilots came from fixed wing and they had no problem in transitionning to gyro (and we are speaking about tens and tens of pilots) there is absolutely nothing scary in gyroplane believe me, it is not touchy to...

What's a good gyro for an HKS 700E (60HP) engine?

Rusty, the rotary wing forum ceased to be a place where famous engineers and genious home builders would come to speak about their last inventions and tests etc .. now it is just a place where people come to speak about they stock gyros .. the end .. as a matter of fact all is a matter of...

151 HP Rotax 912 on Gyroplane

Bensen gyroplanes and their derivatives were light agile widow maker flying machines. In france we have imported bensens in the 70's and in the 80's we started building copies using rotax engines instead of the original mac cullock engine in america the same trend arrised and they also started...
