    Hi Martti, I'm running a geared PSRU. Like you mention, Subaru doesn't make much power on direct drive. Unless you add a turbo, which equals higher fuel consumption. Working on my PSRU, almost done. The reduction ratio is 1:1.78. engine max RPM at 5400; 5400/1.78= 3,033 @Propeller. But I won't...

    What you are seeing is just tack welds. Lots of changes have been made after then. And have been TIG welded.
