Not sure yet, that would be pretty cool though. It actually did have a big decal on the side at one point but someone removed it before I got it

I would definitely recommend adding hand holds if you don’t have them. Here are some pictures showing my hand hold and the differences between the Jungster 1 and 2 center sections. The 2 has a full chromoly tube structure inside the center section rather than a wood spar. The ribs are bolted to...

Wingspan extended 4ft in total. There are some notes in my logs next to the first couple flights saying stall speed was 40mph. Stock Jungster 1 stall speed listed as 55mph. Big difference! Cruise speed was reduced quite a bit as well... Seems like my Jungster was built for a slightly different...

Previous owners have flown my Jungster a couple hundred hours before I bought it as a firewall forward project. I thoroughly inspected my wings and they are in great shape. They were extended 2 feet on each side at the roots. I’ve had them on and off a couple times.

Yeah it’s been a lot of sanding… looking forward to getting it done though!

Dominic, here is my steering setup. Very similar to fighting 14’s. The gear on my Jungster 2 is quite narrow and the legs measure 32 inches from the bolt to the axle. Extending the gear on a Jungster 1 should be a feasible mod, however is it worth noting my forward visibility is non-existent.

Cowling plug is nearly finished. Will start laying up fiberglass soon! Other than that I made new rudder pedals to replace the toe brakes with heel brakes. I also installed my new instrument panel. Howard Allmon, who I had purchased my jungster from has unfortunately recently passed away. He was...

Copper sleeves will be plenty strong. If you put enough force on your airplane to break the cables you’ve probably got bigger problems… There would likely be a structural failure in the control surfaces/airframe before the cables broke.

I hadn’t heard of the karnadia instruments before, looks like they make some good stuff! Engine monitor will be nice to have too. It’s looking like the weight change on my panel will be negligible. The BOM weighs 1 pound. I won’t have a battery or starter either. Should be interesting to see...

Pops, I was comparing brand new instruments to be fair... You can absolutely make a panel very cheaply. You should be flying airplanes like these by looking outside anyways so it doesn’t really matter what’s on the panel. I just thought it would be neat to try out a new gadget.

My panel was pretty basic and the only instruments the iPad is replacing are a compass, altimeter, airspeed, and variometer, however the iPad is displaying much more than that so I will compare it to an equivalent steam gauge panel. I’ve left out a tachometer, and oil press/temp gauges since it...

My jungster had a nice panel with some basic instruments but I had a sheet of carbon fiber laying around so I decided to make it fancy… Im Replacing most of my instruments with an iPad, which will display information wirelessly transmitted from a levil aviation BOM. This will eliminate the pitot...

Finally finished sanding foam today. Next step is to cover it in bondo to give it a smooth surface and eliminate any imperfections.

Cowling mold is getting close to the shape I want, a bit more sanding and it’ll be ready for bondo. I fabricated and installed a seat back and baggage compartment as well.

Hi, just found this thread, good stuff! in regards to leading edge skins and fabric covering, I highly recommend looking at the skypup ultralight. It is almost entirely foam construction. uses a 0.8mm plywood leading edge epoxied to foam ribs. very easy to bend and gives your fabric a good...
