    Wingspan extended 4ft in total. There are some notes in my logs next to the first couple flights saying stall speed was 40mph. Stock Jungster 1 stall speed listed as 55mph. Big difference! Cruise speed was reduced quite a bit as well... Seems like my Jungster was built for a slightly different...

    Previous owners have flown my Jungster a couple hundred hours before I bought it as a firewall forward project. I thoroughly inspected my wings and they are in great shape. They were extended 2 feet on each side at the roots. I’ve had them on and off a couple times.

    Dominic, here is my steering setup. Very similar to fighting 14’s. The gear on my Jungster 2 is quite narrow and the legs measure 32 inches from the bolt to the axle. Extending the gear on a Jungster 1 should be a feasible mod, however is it worth noting my forward visibility is non-existent.

    Copper sleeves will be plenty strong. If you put enough force on your airplane to break the cables you’ve probably got bigger problems… There would likely be a structural failure in the control surfaces/airframe before the cables broke.

    Pops, I was comparing brand new instruments to be fair... You can absolutely make a panel very cheaply. You should be flying airplanes like these by looking outside anyways so it doesn’t really matter what’s on the panel. I just thought it would be neat to try out a new gadget.

    Cowling mold is getting close to the shape I want, a bit more sanding and it’ll be ready for bondo. I fabricated and installed a seat back and baggage compartment as well.
