    Well i was wrong about the mag,it was all just fine tuning the carb,got it running on mag only,fine tuned it to idle and smooth out power up to full power,not bad then tuned a bit with the electric ignition on as well and no more miss its back to running good,so thanks to all that...

    Yes it is a fresh rebuild that only has ground testing time on it,when I pull it through it feels the same on all,it ran perfectly when I acquired the plane but after running with valve off and creating a leak at two lines it started doing this,and the carb started overfilling with fuel.line...

    Well the reason I thought it built excessive psi is because it sprang a leak at plastic y fittings,tell me is the header fuel return valve supposed to be on or off when running engine,and why does it have a shut of to begin with?

    How do you figure out how to advance or should I say retard your timing,I see where the so called distributor loosens to adjust but what procedure do I follow for setting it.

    Copy that,also pulled distributor cap/cover and found it skribbed aswell so went through procedure and set valves at 6 thou but they were pretty much already there,and as far as timing on the distributor looks like its advanced from top dead center but not sure on how to check it correctly...

    Loosen what up exactly,this plane has a fuel header with a vent line shut off valve,and the other day I had the shut off valve on the vent line closed witch as I was running it built up excessive pressure and caused sevral plastic y fittings on fuel system to leak,i replaced lines and used brass...
