    Troubleshooting Trig TY-91 Installation

I get the "dork of the day" award. The nice harness I bought was well labeled with a tab that said "To Pilot's Mic" on that branch of the harness. The mic had an extended harness from the same company. The wiring on the mike was White and White/blue, the wiring on the TY-91 harness mic line...

    Troubleshooting Trig TY-91 Installation

I checked continuity of the wiring for the mike, but I don't have a way to test it independently. I am not sure what I can hook it to. The radio it is replacing is kaput, and used a dnamic mike anyway.

    Troubleshooting Trig TY-91 Installation

I am out of ideas. I have installed a new Trig TY-91 along with Pelker ME510 Electret Microphone. I am using a professionally made (Goddard) harness between the transceiver and the control head. I cannot get it to make any sound out of the speaker nor can I receiver anything but carrier when...

    GPS Source to multiple users?

I am rebuilding my gliders panel this winter and I am trying to sort out some potential integration issues. I am planning on a Trig TT-22 XPNDR, while ADS-B Out isn't required for me, I want to be ready when it changes. So, I need a GPS Source. If I use a Trig TN-72 GPS Source for the XPNDR is...

    "SkyWing" hybrid wing body ultralight

TLAR (That Looks About Right) should never be trusted. TLW (That Looks Wrong) should never be ignored. Strength-to-weight of the PVC is not high enough. By the time you get the structure stiff enough to be safe it will be too heavy to fly. So, in a sense this is a self-correcting problem.

Looking for info on controlling airfoil shape in moldless composite wing

I guess I have unrealistic expectations. I thought they were much more sensitive back to mid chord. I figured "in the ballpark" meant +/-0.010". There is a certain Zen to sanding...

Looking for info on controlling airfoil shape in moldless composite wing

I have read that many times. Getting an individual airfoil profile sanded using a template isn't really hard, assuming the wing started out well. Making sure the many airfoil templates you have are correctly oriented is a much harder task if you have a specified twist and the wing is not out of...

Looking for info on controlling airfoil shape in moldless composite wing

I have looked through all of my references (Strojnik, Rutan, Arnold, Smith, et. al.) and cannot find indication of how to make really accurate wings with moldless construction. Strojnik talks about hot wire cutting foam then laying up skins that are prepared on a piece of plexi (great surface...
