    Yamaha RX-1 Snowmobile Engine Conversion

I can think of no reason why you wouldn't want an Apex power plant in any of the mentioned aircraft, along with a Hummel (same as Thatcher). I would love to see how a Pulsar would fly with it. Just the thought of it makes me giddy!

I'm pretty sure it's 39". Not very roomy, but I would buy one in a heart beat.

    What About EV Automobiles?

I'm in my 70s, and for as long as I remember, the PUC has been in the back pocket of the power companies. They do anything the power companies want. That's why we have the highest rates in the country. We can't do anything about it. The PUC are not elected, so we can't vote them out. But the...

Possible new engine with amazing specs

Here is a link to what seems to be a very well engineered engine producing 160 HP & 175 pounds torque, but only weight 35 pounds. I know this sounds unbelievable, but it is designed by well known firm. Just watch the first half of the video before you call BS, cause, to me, this sounds legit.

    Hummel Bird

Just a little update: I believe the Hummel Aircraft co has been sold to a guy named Matt in Michigan. Plans for the 3 models are still available & kits for the Ultracruiser & H5 are being made, not the original Hummel Bird. I got this info from a you-tuber that owns 3 Hummel aircraft. Hope this...

    Sonja Englert Engineering

Back in the mid 70s, my brother & I had a composite biz. We got pretty good at mold making. That being said, I recently discovered 6 videos, made by the Arnold company, designer/creator of the record breaking AR5, that I would consider the 'Holy Grail' of perfection. His tutorial style videos...

Need a helping hand on the West coast

I second that! I worked in Phoenix, P to F conversions for FedX in 1995, and it never got below 100*, day or night, for 90 straight days !!!

Scrappy’s Landing Gear Wings - Yay or Nay?

At 73, and a composite manufacturer back in the mid 70s, I applaud everything he does, whether it works or not. This is what experimental is. He has an immense amount of talent, enthusiasm and skill and is also been a very hard worker his whole life. (maybe the Nay Sayers should watch his...
