Making an unubtanium bearing out of Babbitt?

Bearings are bearings. Aplication means 'almost' nothing. You will need: ▪︎Typ (ball, roller, single or double row, etc.) ▪︎ID ▪︎OD ▪︎Thickness And you will need seals, which require similar info. Any Industrial Supply House (Grainger, McMaster-Carr, etc.) should have be these.

    Certifications to weld on Airframe?

Thanks! Since I know of no other homebuilts at the hangar complex, he would have no customers for airgrame welding, just misc non aircraft jobs such as he will be doing for me.

    Repairs to wing fabric?

This plane was described to me as a LM-1A, which would be a 75% scale version of a Cub. Sometimes described as a J3 Kitten. And maybe the tips are missing........

    Repairs to wing fabric?

Don't worry about a hijack. I have learned a lot by reading all these posts! Attaced is a photo of the eings in their cradle/sling. Note the pinkish color with no paint applied.

    Repairs to wing fabric?

Thanks. I knew that MEK was considered one of the nastiest of the nasty chemicals for user safety and the environment.
