    Heavily inspired ultralight

Hi I have been working on a Ultralight design heavily inspired by the Sky Pup. I am not planning on building from someone else's plans even though it would probably be the wiser decision. The mission of the craft is to fly slowly on smallish (20) Hp, just flying on calm nights. The plan is to...

    wing area vs aspect ratio

I've been thinking about low power ultralights recently. if you have 32 ft of wing span available, for a low power setting, is it better to have more wing area and a lower aspect ratio or lower wing area but higher aspect ratio. I'm sure there's an obvious answer but it hasn't occurred to me yet.

    12ft ultralight fuselage

I have a 12ft trailer that i would like to store a home built ultralight in. I was thinking theoretically if you have the same length from the 25 percent chord line to the empennage as other ultralights, say 8 feet then add a 4 ft cockpit to make 12 ft. that seems sound to me but then again my...

    Cheap ultralight wing coverings

I have been designing and building a ultralight aircraft on a very small budget. I was wondering if i could use woven reinforced plastic sheeting to cover the wings but i would use pink foam to skin the rest of the aircraft...
