    The Antonov 225 is no more . . . .

You’re right one of the A’s did go thru the RERP mod but the ship was retired in 2017. All of the B’s got the RERP mod with the program ending in 2018.

    The Antonov 225 is no more . . . .

Oops typo - my bad, my statement should have read “C-130J first flight” which occurred in April 1996. But yes, the Flight Engineer from the C-5A first flight was part of the J model first flight crew. I’ve lost track of Jerry but up to few years ago he was still alive. Your statement...

    The Antonov 225 is no more . . . .

I rarely post but..Ron as a former Lockheed Flight Test Engineer who spent many years with the C-5, I think y’all should consider mission capability when comparing it with the Antonovs. Is the cargo box pressurized like the C-5, answer is no. That means they are true trash only haulers. Can...

    Rigid gear for LSAs?

There are a number of rigid gear EABs out there: Fly Baby, mini MAX, Volksplane, Fisher Avenger to name a few. The Fly Baby gear is very stout and will hold up to some punishment. When taxiing you can get this funky bounce due to sidewall flexure.

    M19 Flying squirrel plans

It’s my understanding his estate has the aircraft. It shows as deregistered in the FAA registry and the N number has been reserved by another party. Oscar worked for several years to get the rights for the plans. The family finally granted him permission sometime in 2016. So if anyone was...

    M19 Flying squirrel plans

Might be a bit of an unfair statement. He has stated that he is currently crushed by work. As the only guy to have made a serious attempt at building one he also noted there are a number of corrections that need to be incorporated and does want to sell plans as is.

    M19 Flying squirrel plans

The Squirrel and JN-1 have similar lines but the Squirrel is actually smaller and significantly heavier. Squirrel plans haven’t been available for a long time. Marvin obviously built to fly not for trophies. When it appeared at Oshkosh a lot of people criticized its rather rough...
