How to get diameter wooden propeller for gasoline engine 7hp = 208cc

It seems you are trying to find a 4 stroke industrial motor instead of a two stroke. As others have said you need around 30hp Since you are now looking at a single engine vs twin engine set-up, I would suggest you look at the 460cc four stroke engine from Thump Air. 38hp and about 65 lbs...

    Direct drive propeller (Mz34)?

It looks like Fiate did change to the MicroV Belt on the later models of the MZ34. I wonder if the pulleys would be available from them http://www.fiate.net/en/mz34.html

Viable USA Part 103 Kawasaki Engines

To further illustrate that the 2 transfer design of the KT150 may need major modifications to make modern HP. Refer again to what Porting expert Lowell Horning has said: "Your 2-stroke motor is an air pump. It moves the air in pulses or charges. The basics are: More Air = More Torque. More...

Viable USA Part 103 Kawasaki Engines

Multiple examples of power increases when switching from 2 transfers to 4 transfer engines have been illustrated. Those comparisons show that the Kawasaki KT-150 will likely need major cylinder modifications to make modern Hp levels. As further evidence of the limitations of two transfer ports...

Viable USA Part 103 Kawasaki Engines

In Tonyalto's description of what types of modifications he made to Kawasaki two transfer engines for more power, he also referenced a very respected book by Alexander Bell on modifying two stroke engines. Bell details the history of two strokes including how in the 1930's the first 2...

can use two engine honda gx 50 for cricri mc 15 aircraft and i will used propeller 32X10

You were taught correct. Roller bearing wear is different than friction wear. Friction is linear Roller Bearing is exponential based on load and RPM

can use two engine honda gx 50 for cricri mc 15 aircraft and i will used propeller 32X10

Yes metal wear increases with speed. Friction loads are linear - Wear = (constant x load x length)/hardness ratio. More RPM means longer distance of wear (stroke x rpm) 9000rpm will wear 38% faster than 6500rpm. Especially hard on rings But roller bearing wear is different. Double the...

Also on the Racket page are the weights. 6.8Kg without redrive 8.1kg with redrive So their redrive is only about 3lbs I agree with you on the rpm. 9000 is a lot. If a Cri-Cri could cruise at 75% power that would be reduced to about 8200 rpm. Still a lot. But as Dana said lots of small PPG...

can use two engine honda gx 50 for cricri mc 15 aircraft and i will used propeller 32X10

If you scroll down enough on the page there is a technical data chart that says 10kw @ 9000 rpm - So 13.4hp.

Too bad you didn't have a dyno for the Kawi. Any chance you have before & after drag time numbers from stock vs your modified engines? Yeah Olav is a good guy. Back in the 70's he was in Milwaukee - Also spent time at the Snowmobile test facility in Menomonee Falls. Was head of the...

Yeah Scott on the Chaos 400 engine page has built and flown the Arctic Blast engine. https://www.facebook.com/groups/475092897128612/discussion/preview/ Dyno sheet shows 65hp is at around 7500rpm. He said he was shooting for 7300 max with cruise around 5500rpm. One of the Issues was the...

Viable USA Part 103 Kawasaki Engines

Great info. Lots of experience. I've worked on some of the same engines but never the Wankels. A friend worked with Olav at OMC and they put together a hot rod Evinrude Bobcat with their Wankel. Screaming loud megaphone. SO... Did you dyno the 3 Kawi singles you built? HP@ RPM? Would be...

Viable USA Part 103 Kawasaki Engines

Excellent description of what would likely need to be done. Did you do it to a KT-150 or was it for another engine? I know a couple racers that did basically the same as you to Skidoo race engines.

Anyone trying to modify a KT-150 to get modern hp potential needs to be aware of the extensive cylinder work that will likely need to be done. Previously shown Ski-doo/Rotax Factory Published HP numbers verify what has been know by Manufactures and Racers , for over 50 years. 4 transfer...

    Kawasaki 440 Weight?

Depends on the model (A,B,or C) - but about 65 to 70 lbs before the added weight of the re-drive. Re-drive adds about 15lbs depending on which one you get Contact J-bird for a weight of the ones they supply with exhaust etc. https://www.j-birdengines.com/ultralight-engines

Viable USA Part 103 Kawasaki Engines

As previously shown, there is a proven difference in power potential between 2 transfer port and 4 transfer port engines. Thus limiting the potential hp of the Kawasaki 292. Care must be taken when comparing early 70's engines because manufactures used both "Can" and "Tuned" style mufflers...

can use two engine honda gx 50 for cricri mc 15 aircraft and i will used propeller 32X10

Yeah I thought about paramotors too. Like you said a little pricey. I asked about weight because sooner or later the cheap industrial 4 strokes will be brought up. Sticking to two strokes - about a year ago a guy put together a twin engine Challenger using two DLE-170 engines. Cranked them...

Does anyone know how much the original 15 hp JPX PUL 212 engines weigh? I'm guessing there could be a number of modern 15hp options once the weight range is available to be sure structural things motor mounts and weight balance are considered.

    Fate is the Hunter!

I saw the 1960's movie several times, but never realized there was a book. Turns out the movie was so far from the book that Gann asked to have his name removed from the credits.

    Amelia Earhart's Plane

At the end of January it was reported that Amelia's plane may have been found on sonar 100 miles from Howland island where she was headed for refueling. That is further than a lot of researchers had figured . So.... if the plane ditched, how far could it "Glide" underwater on its way to the...
