    Klixon circuit breakers as switches

The way i see this, is Klixton are quite perfect and sure it cost a bit more , but they are a 2 in one unit.. not only a switch. And if i recall: you have to change tire and do maintenance every x hr. Perhaps if a 20$ is too high, the whole price cost for an airplane is quite high and trying to...

    Experimental sailplane self-launch electric conversion

Having a pre-heating module to warm up the batterry before recharge do help to increased the batterry life expectancy.

What do you think about "e-soaring"?

Very nice flight. But at same time, why you have not go with lipo pouch cell, like those Kokam with fes system ?

How far are we from the perfect electric "homebuilt" ?

You could, but again, higher price... Fill 50ft wingspan give at most 1.8kw near noon. Under might help with 0.2 for aroung 30k$ total

How far are we from the perfect electric "homebuilt" ?

Solar is the way to go, but with the highest available of 36%, no matter how green you are, you will probably skip it. 20k to cover wing. For sailplane 50ft of wingspan that give at upmost a 2kw max at noon.

What do you think about "e-soaring"?

Martin is right, the tooling , as mold, to produce cost a lot. And about the point of weight, it's quite irrelevent, as you can just made it as homebuilt. Or an Ulm can do wha you want, but it's quite a different way. You have the Alpaero Excel and Choucas that are possible. Just the kit of the...

What do you think about "e-soaring"?

Forget foldable wing.. but your price price range thete's is plenty. Vivat L13 or rf4 fournier. For the rest, define your mission. Bad glide ratio is the same as a cessena, you just put fuel and then you burn more fuel to stay in the air. E-soring is not that. But, post as your own thread, more...

    Experimental sailplane self-launch electric conversion

Kelly ctrl can be fine, but only if you want to save money. Mgm is nearly half the weight and size and uber more important are the data function and logging.

What do you think about "e-soaring"?

It's not that new concept. The Stemme and even the antares i think, had made some pod for the electric regen with motor. But with powerfull electric engine, you need high torque with heavier motor. So it's mostly what's the mission you are looking at.

Humm interesting indeed. Which one you have in mind?

What do you think about "e-soaring"?

A Bms with 96 points of data for temp.. wow, very interesting. I've look and mostly over 4 input this look quite impossible and was about to design my own circuit. But i will be very interested to know what model it is. Thanks again.

What do you think about "e-soaring"?

About the 30kw and 60kw.. You mean: you have a 60kw batt pack that can deliver up to 2c in discharge, for takeoff, then you lower the rpm, that result in a requirement of only 30kw of power. Right ? And indeed, quite right about to drop the batt case by mistake..

    Scale ME-262

Vasy are near 110 lbs for like 10 sec at max. Don't confuse max power vs usable power... And same as you can't drive at 90% over a min.

    Scale ME-262

Indeed at 14/17 in you will get plenty of thrust for real performance with short wing or bad airfoil. But ofor the siz and proper air flow after the blade.. you will not go with an electric motor?

    vacuum bagging set up recomendation

If you plan on proper part and with high strenght for the work you put and money, you will not go with any shop vac stuff. Bare minimum is a 1/3 motor on the vacuum pump. Oil based work only with tight bag with no hole. But that is easy, as you can take your time to make a perfect seal.

What do you think about "e-soaring"?

Small question Martin.. Can you show the battery system arrangement and was it possible to remove them as well ? Or you all charge onboard .. But in case of a defect cell, how to remove or remove the cell.. ?

    Electric power for dummys......

If you are refering for a two stroke ... Price, then , this will equal a 100hp force easily. For a 2 stroke power, as around 30kw, it's more 4k. And what you should understand is with your gaz engine, make the count for how much is it after: gascolator, fuel selector, an fitting, flex tubing...

What do you think about "e-soaring"?

In regards of the Phoenix, when it used a 108/80kw rotex engine, was it only needed because of the tow capability ? I guess, with only a 60kw or even running it at 70%.. like at 45kw it could be enought to take off ? Or a 60 is really needed ?

High Performance Room Temp. Cure Epoxy?

A guy in Nevada started an EZ build and plan to be clearcoat all in black, or direct fiber visibility. If i remember it might used Ptm also. But, while it's high temp resin... If i get a flight in the first 2 month of the 'servicability' of the bird.. ok. But after that, i'll pass. Sitting in a...
