Least expensive way to 200 + Hp ?

I think the idea is to have a reliable engine produce 250hp. A PSRU engine that produces 400hp at or near max rpm is not a good idea.

Crashes in the News - Thread

With all due respect, briefer is not better. If you have thousands of hours godd for you that you understand everybody. If your going into a "hub" with a tower. You may used to "briefer is better". Into a non tower airport, clear concise and a tad slower would be better. The "jibberish" I hear...

Engine Sound Matching for WWII Replicas

No, disagree, the kid with that Cox wished it was a K & B .35 tied to a stunt wing that flew too fast and did vertical square eights in the blink of an eye. Now that was good sounds. Me, I flew a Fox .36, that sounded great. and tied to a Cosmic Wind that did slow, sweet vertical square...

    Hello from Los Angeles

I actually saw it mabe 9 mos ago. Fuselage was on the mezzanine, tail feathers mounted on the wall alongside the stairwell, and wing parts , drawings, etc, strewn about below. Did your chapter finish the hanger remodel to help the young eagles ?

    Hello from Los Angeles

    Looking for 1-26 advice

Hi. wikipedia describes basic differences between the 6 models. Here is B model descrip: The "B" model was introduced in 1956 as a factory built aircraft.[6] It improved on the "standard" by introducing metal-covered wings. This resulted in the empty weight increasing by 25 lbs.[9] The...

Flying wing as cheap and simple option for basic fun flying.

Hi, Cruising around and saw this post. Have not heard of the Striplin FLAC in many moons, about 44. Screwy little plane. I saw it as the first model was fabricated, but not flown. Do not remember if an engine had been designed in it. Lots of foam. The skin was an ultra thin "plastic" (...
