    Ducted Fan Pseudo-Jets

No GA or average pilot will fly a ducted aircraft, it has no advantage or appeal whatsoever compared to a cessna or one of the new LSA propeller planes. It doesn't sound like a jet, sounds exactly like a vacuumn cleaner and will likely be banned from most GA airports because of the sound...

    Ducted Fan Pseudo-Jets

The early high bypass turbofan called the Astafan is nearly a ducted fan with a jet core. The ducted fan had a variable pitch design for optimising thrust at different speeds ie idle takeoff vs cruising. https://lfmpnews.blogspot.com/2015/12/1990-1996-f-bstm-fan-commander-perpignan.html

    Ducted Fan Pseudo-Jets

The UL39 ALBI is indeed going to be powered by a turboshaft version of the PBS-TJ100. In some ways it is closer to a high-bypass turbofan. The best engine for it would have been the DGEN 380 or 390 with about 600 to 900lbf thrust. It's the version called UL-39 ALBI II M DUCTED FAN TRAINER...

Why even bother… get the personal flying trash can https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Williams_X-Jet great sub-urban camouflage.. if ever flagged down for speed violations, just head to the nearest apartment block dumpster and park right next to the trash cans…

"Beast One" - the next generation Microjet

Actually I brought up the micro jet 200 because it used something that has a thrust of 250lbf, if ever a turbofan of around 600 to 900lbf becomes available to public at around $100k ish, this design could become of interest.

"Beast One" - the next generation Microjet

Does anyone know anything about the Microjet200? Uses 2 Microturbo TRS 18-1 engines

Why battery-powered aircraft will never have significant range

Reminds me of two nuclear powered aircrafts at the height of the cold war… One’s a nuclear reactor prop and the other a jet engine with a nuclear core https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tupolev_Tu-95LAL https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Convair_NB-36H...

Veloce 600, 6 seat pressurized twin auto-converted engines.

Is this something that’s in development? Any more information? Glad to hear of a very measured/methodical development plan. Sure it will not be the fastest way to the end product, having real proven performance at every stage of development is far more important to overall success.

Veloce 600, 6 seat pressurized twin auto-converted engines.

It will interesting if this airframe gets proven with whatever piston engine available and then a reliable “affordable” turboprop like the turbaero or pbs TP100 is adapted for the airframe. This plane will then look a lot like a avanti piaggio. A twin turboprop with de ice and usable range and...

Pulling versus pushing - which way is better?

And all rifle bullets are pushers with spin imparted by the barrel rifle…Wonder if there are any pulling bullets made?

It will be great! A subsonex twin engine & two place jet!! Abit like the micro jet 200B https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microjet_200

A Macchi 202 will be nice. Almost "hersey bar" wing with a bit of taper

WWII replica plans available in 2021?

what about this one. Says the basic configuration uses a rotax915is and faster variant may use an LS engine? https://www.scalewings.com/sw-51-mustang/ https://www.scalewings.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Foto_Petr_Kolmann-28.jpg

    The A-4 Skyhawk

Yeah looks underpowered... hoping they put a turbo shaft or turbofan engine instead.

    80% Scale Hawker Hurricane

Hi, I believe most aircraft truss welders use 4130. Example would be the P51 replica from titan ie T51 which uses a 4130 frame with fuselage panels attached. By the way how complete are the sindlinger plans, are landing gears plans build or something that is from a known aircraft? And where did...
