    I usually use titebond 3. Not as a result of any great testing. Just what i’ve always used because it cleans up easily and is moisture resistant for when i make things like cutting boards, and its pretty darn strong..... i dont want to use a bajilliion different glues so i use a one size...

    Yea im aware of the strength and weight differences.... just wasnt sure if expansion was significant enough to matter. I’m more used to furniture making than airplane making and wood movement can crack adjoining pieces!

    Thanks! I was going to use the DF as diagonals around the cockpit area and firewall and then spruce longerons. Spruce ribs, DF spar, Might also do a DF leading edge/nose strip

    someone mentioned plywood being out because the grain direction alternates directions each layer which can be good for some applications but not others. Could a veneer plywood be made so the grains run the same direction? there would still be some issues if the wood quality or poorly...

    Im sure its strong enough because the nose ribs are covered by ply too, Just not sure how i will glue then in place being so thin.... might need some jig of sorts perhaps
