    What's this?

I saw a picture of this and don't recognize it. I think it may be a drawing and not real. It's claimed to be a drone seen in Australia.

    Ducted fan aircraft

With the single fan design, it would help to lengthen the duct as much as possible, as you mentioned is your plan, in order to maximize eye appeal. Looking at it from the standpoint of an artist, I think the longest practical duct that you can make would look the best. Also it should look like...

    Ducted fan aircraft

I understand. Your project as it is is very good and with the improved fans and more powerful engine I assume it would be fairly practical for fun flying? I'm interested in your transmission system. have you posted about it somewhere here?

    Magnet motor

Well, does it have hidden batteries or capacitors or doesn't it? That's the question. I assumed it had batteries.

How sweep hurts endurance and what to do about it

It seems to me that this is what you would want to do about it. The red line represents the 25% chord line. We've seen things like this before in birds and some Horten planes

Discussion: "Conceptual Design of a Three-surface, Composite Four-seater"

Notice how the canard downwash is isolated between the engine nacelles, a great solution to separate the flow fields on the main wing. Also the T tail is pretty high to help isolate it from the other flow fields. Smart design. The props would influence the flow fields quite a lot too...

    HERE WE GO AGAIN !

I'm aware of the difference between a tunnel hull and a catamaran, I only thought that photo was of a cool cat. Reference the last link I posted, it shows the foil, which could be at the very bottom of the hull, has already been invented and patented. You don't need foils at the back...

    Extremely simple hybrid power concept

Good idea, four or more smaller props is the best way to go with electric. I put the props behind the wings so that the person(s) don't have propeller in the face syndrome and unobstructed visibility to the sides. and then there's this. Notice the propellers on the wing tips!

Like this, only as a hull split in half by a tunnel. This is similar to a wide aircraft pontoon.

    Ducted fan aircraft

Those twin duct designs that look like fighters look fantastic, and that is a hot selling point. In my view, in comparison, the single fan version looks a little bit dumpy because of the need of a large fan and the high profile, although that one looks pretty good. With twin fans you can get a...

    HERE WE GO AGAIN !

Well I can see you're all excited !! and no I didn't miss your point, a tunnel hull could help, in fact I've drawn tunnel hull based aircraft before you were old enough to, um ... I was just mentioning where the idea is all --ed up and stuff. Like for instance, thats too fast to be useful...

    Very low aspect ratio planes?

In my drawing the pilots eyes are close to the leading edge of the wing, so he can look almost straight down (of course to the side a little bit) and by moving his head forward a couple of inches the pilot can look straight down. Also there is only a gearbox in front of the pilot's feet, not a...

    Ducted fan aircraft

Hi Malish, I think I read somewhere that you are going to work on improvements on the fans later. I'm wondering how possible it would be to go to a larger diameter fan? A lot of those jet fighter type planes are fatter at mid section but your ducts make the vehicle look thinner at that point...
