don't want to answer ?? cant answer ?? or plain don't want to part with secrets ??

    HERE WE GO AGAIN !

Its the main body of a amphibious plane as in the boat hull , not floats that are attached on legs as I envisage you are referring to

    HERE WE GO AGAIN !

wow !! do we live on the same planet ??

    HERE WE GO AGAIN !

The cut always on each side are a bad choice as that part of the two hull halves is totally necessary! you completely missed the point of how a tunnel works and putting a foil in between the two hull halves makes it even more efficient!

    HERE WE GO AGAIN !

man alive are you confused !!

    HERE WE GO AGAIN !

In this type of hull 25 to 30 mph it would be wanting to be on top of the water planning as speed increases then the tunnel is compressing the air and the faster its goes the higher its will climb out and on top and at 70mph its would be literally flying !! the optimum angle of attach would be...

    HERE WE GO AGAIN !

no not at all!! the rocker is used to rotate the plane into the right position for take off !! Its the placement and the shape of the rocker that's the key that you are missing seeing !! Rocker is something that's very useful and if used to its best advantage can make a hull spin and go round...

    HERE WE GO AGAIN !

very good !! So in actual fact the end or transom of the boat hull could have been finished at that point and so a step would not have been required but its aerodynamics and smooth flowing lines that are needed and a blunt cut off would have caused masses of amount of turbulence from that point...

    HERE WE GO AGAIN !

Tell me what does the step really do ?? why is it used ?? and what would happen if it wasn't used?? In the boating industry steps cause way more problems than they ever solve !!
  10. T

    HERE WE GO AGAIN !

Instead of using "THE STEP" that everyone can relate to "it is not required" !! it would be replaced by the introduction of rocker shape in the hulls bottom !!The placement of the rocker is the key to the steps replacement !! The rocker would have another advantage also of a bad slightly nose...

    HERE WE GO AGAIN !

Please take careful note that is a catamaran design NOT A TUNNEL !! AND THE CENTRE FOIL is the only thing needed for what I want to do the two small rear side foils are not required ! Remember what I said cats are not tunnels and even really bad tunnels are a 100% better than what people call a...

Technical paper on CFRP Sandwich Construction

Ok I will ask yet again !! what is the type of glass fabrics that are used to manufacture the web or channels ?? also what are the types of glass that are used for the skins ??what the orientation of the fibres ?? what direction do they run at ?? Most buckling problems can be minimized simply...

    HERE WE GO AGAIN !

Long Narrow and skinny hulls and wave piercing for this type of use will give you almost nothing at all that's useful ! Has very little if any lift !! has to be long and deep to give enough buoyancy and will sit way down in the water ! the wetted area is massive ! so why even bother ??and you...

    HERE WE GO AGAIN !

If you read and couldn't connect the dots then you have a problem !! My latest thoughts as mentioned some time ago is to also look seriously at adding a lifting foil between the two hulls just slightly forward of the cg to assist with getting up on the plane even quicker and having a shorter...

    HERE WE GO AGAIN !

Its the tunnel between the hulls that's the key !! You are missing the point !! the hulls lift the boat at low speeds and when the speed gets to 50 mph plus then the air starts to take over and lift even more and so speed increases very quickly ! 70 to 80 mph and significantly the air had a lot...

    HERE WE GO AGAIN !

Ok lets get some basics sorted right at the beginning , Catamarans and tunnels are as different as chalk and cheese in there design and performance ! Cats sure will handle some rough conditions but have some really bad habits ...

fibreglass fuel tanks !! whats the norm and what seems to be used ??

Sloshing AS YOU CALL IT should never have to be done if the tank is made properly and with some care and attention !! also layers of resin backed with VAIL is always a good safety measure ! There are special pigmented coatings resins that can also be used ! Personally seeing the fuel moving...

    HERE WE GO AGAIN !

If borrowing technology and knowhow from some where else to learn from then that's what's needed to make things happen !!I have done it many times !! adapting ideas to make other things work better Composites is no different ! The manufacture of foils had had to go to a whole new level of...

    HERE WE GO AGAIN !

FOILS ! seems no one is interested or they have there fingers in there ears or even there heads buried in the sand !! Yes there could be advantage of foiling and getting the wetted surface to an absolute minimum but unless you take notice of what's going on in other fields and do some copy and...

    Double vacuum bagging

iT UPS THE GLASS TO RESIN RATIO FROM 50 % T0 70% !! SO IF YOU REALLY INTO WEIGHT SAVING SPECIALLY ON BIG PARTS ITS WORTH THE EFFORT !! Once you shut off the resin supply however, there is no more advantage. You do shut it off yes !!but disconnect both ends to let out the resin that's not needed !!
